• After delivery, configuration file does not exist
• Configured IP address is unknown

▪ Solution: Connection via default IP-Address

• Address has always the same value on each CMU

▪ Precondition:
• RNDIS-network-driver must be installed in MS-Windows®
• File “wrs_usb_rndis.inf” located in RTUtil500 installation folder

▪ Address scheme (IPv4):

▪ Default IP address of RTU 169. 254. 0. 10
▪ Subnet mask 255. 255. 0. 0
▪ IP address of PC 169. 254. 0. n (n <> 10)

▪ Direct Ethernet-cable with crossover wiring
RTU X PC On modern computers, the
Ethernet interface creates
the crossover connection
▪ Ethernet network with switch
