Module 3 - Amcml

This document contains a multiple choice quiz about motor learning concepts. It asks the learner to identify key terms such as kinematics, discrete motor skills, motor learning theory, and closed-loop motor skills. It also contains short answer questions that require the learner to apply motor learning principles to exercise, dance, and sports and analyze factors that can affect motor learning in individuals such as environment, genetics, muscle tone, and gender.

STROLLING DOWN THE MEMORY LANE
Answer completely the activity by identifying what best describes the statement
given. Find the correct answer in the table found the bottom part of this page and
write your answer inside the arrow in line with the statement.
1. It is an ability that is a specifically related to the performance
of a motor skill.
 Motor Ability
2. Feedback that is presented in terms of a movement pattern.
 Augmented Feedback
3. This type of practice indicates that an activity is practiced in
its entirety, from start to finish.
 Whole Practice

THINK AND REFLECT (ANALYSIS)

Reflect on the following questions. In no more than 50 words, write your answer in
the discussion board.
1. How do motor learning principles applied in exercise, dance and sports?
 The best exercise is simply the one that applies the right type and amount of stress
to get the sort of adaptation you want without hurting yourself in the process. Motor
Learning means you move in some way that will teach you to move the body with
more skill, coordination or efficiency. In dance, motor learning is the process that
allows you to learn basic and sophisticated skills that are not acquired through
typical human motor development. Motor learning is the study of the processes
involved in acquiring and refining skills. It offers techniques and strategies that work
for coaches on a daily basis. Knowing basic concepts takes much of the guess work
out of finding the best instructional sequences and progressions to learn sport skills.
2. As physical educator, what are the factors that affects motor learning in an
individual?
 There are several different factors that affect motor development, which
include growth of the child, environment, genetics, muscle tone, and
gender.
The child's environment has a large effect on their motor skill
development. The more opportunities they have to develop both gross and
fine motor skills, the faster their capacity increases.
Children are affected both by the genetics of their parents and their own
genetics. If there are genetic weaknesses, they may have slower motor
skill development than general guidelines suggest for their age range.
Muscle tone can affect motor skills. The stronger a child is, the more ability
they may have to move and control their body. Muscles are a fundamental
factor in a child having the strength to move their body and control their
actions. If muscle development is weak, their motor skill development will
be slower.
