 Tool is anything handy. A thing that you can hold for a longer period of time without
minding its weight.
 Equipment is a device or appliance powered with electricity and can be used for multi-
tasking purposes.
 Paraphernalia is any instrument that can be used in taking vital signs.
 Caregivers’ role is not only limited to monitoring the patient’s condition but also to
attend to his other needs like meal preparations and cleanliness and sanitation.
 It would be of great help to a caregiver to become knowledgeable of the tools, equipment
and paraphernalia that will help him simplify his job.
