PREFACE
With the world turning into a knowledge economy, the increasing span of exposure available for employees across nations, accompanied with the demands of global employer------the amount of work and skills required of an individual far exceeds the monetary rewards he/she gets from the job. Thus, it is very essential to keep the employees satisfied in ways other than the monetary ones, in order to attain the organizational goals. This can only be done when the company knows how satisfied its employees are and the ways and means by which it can motivate its various employees. This idea forms the basis of my project on Employee Satisfaction at Sidhee cement Ltd. The project is aimed at understanding the basics of employee satisfaction in practical sense, along with helping the company gain an insight about the level of satisfaction in its employees, the reasons why they are satisfied. The project is a compilation of the brief overviews of the various departments at sidhee cement ltd. and the survey on employee satisfaction with the analysis of the survey and the conclusions drawn from it. It also contains the basic understanding that I drew over a period of 1.5 months as well as a brief of the tasks that I undertook during this time. Yashpal
