SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 5

Content Standard: The learners acquire relevant information and demonstrative confidence in
forming statements using demonstrative pronouns.
Performance Standard: The learners use demonstrative pronouns: This, These, That, Those in
conversation

I. Objectives

At the end of the class, the students are expected to:


 Identify the difference pf demonstrative pronouns: This, These, That, Those;
 Construct questions using demonstrative pronouns and
 Use demonstrative pronounce in group questions

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: Demonstrative Pronouns


B. Reference: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum in English 5, Joy in Learning
English 5 pp. 172-180
C. Materials: Visual Aid, Real Objects
D. Time Frame: 1 Hour

III. Procedure

A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
b. Greetings
c. Classroom Management
d. Checking of Attendance
B. Review
a. The teacher asks the previous lesson

C. Awareness
a. The teacher forms statement relating to the real objects prepared and let the
students identify
b. Presentation of the topic

D. Activity
b. The teacher asks the students what they see inside the classroom and use it in
forming statements with demonstration pronouns.

E. Analysis
a. The teacher asks questions to the students:
 Can you change the statements with demonstrative pronouns into
questions?
 How can you change the statements with demonstrative pronouns into
questions?

F. Abstraction
a. The teacher gives examples of statements with demonstrative pronouns and
change it into questions so as the students.

G. Application
 Each group will be given a picture.
 Each member should take a role by making conversation as what is shown in the
picture, asking and answering questions using demonstrative pronouns.

10 Shows eagerness and cooperation to do the task, participate actively, do
great to help your groupmates
7 Participated but late, with teachers’s supervision
6 Activity was done but does not show eagerness to participate or
cooperate.
