Objectives
At the end of the lesson the students are expected to:
a) identify geometric shapes;
b) value the shapes in making artwork; and
c) create an artwork applying the geometric shapes.

II. Subject Matter


Topic: Shapes
Lesson: Geometric shapes
Materials: Ppt, shapes, pencil, bond paper , coloring materials. , objects inside the classroom .

III. Procedure
A. Review
The teacher will ask the students of what the lesson is all about in previous meeting.
What is secondary color?
What colors belong to secondary color ?
What colors are combined to come up into secondary color.

B. Motivation

Teacher will let the students play the game Shape Bingo
C. Activities
Color the forms according to the color of the given shapes in the box .

D. Abstraction
Proceed to the lesson which is Geometric shapes.
Ask the Student if they have ideas about the geometric shapes.
Introduce to the students the Geometric shapes.
Discuss to what is geometric shapes.

• Geometric shapes are mathematical shapes. They are perfect and regular. They are
characterized by straight lines, angles and points.
• An exception to this would be a perfect circle as it has no straight lines or points. Other
geometric shapes are squares, rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, hexagons etc

E. Application
The teacher will let the students draw their own version of Parol using the geometric
shapes.

IV. Assessment
I. Give the names of the given shapes

II. Identify the shapes of the items inside the box and write it under the shapes where it
belongs.

V. Assignment
In a short bond paper the students will create an artwork applying geometric shapes and tell
