Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School adopts Modular and Blended Online Learning. According to Somaoang
(2020), modular learning is the most popular type of Distance Learning Philip and he also added that this learning
modality is currently used by all public schools because according to a survey conducted by the Department of Education
(DepEd), learning through printed and digital modules emerged as the most preferred distance learning method of
parents with children who are enrolled this academic year.
The DepEd needs to ensure that teachers and students have internet-capable equipment to make the most of
the DepEd Commons, an online platform that can be used for virtual classes that also serve as a repository of learning
modules, Education Secretary Leonor Briones said during the Senate's Committee of the Whole hearing (ABS-CBN News,
2020). With the aforementioned target of DepEd, Mansilingan Agro-Industrial High School is one of the recipients
intended for the enhancement of the delivery of the Learning Delivery Modality. Digital modular learning modality, is
one of the easiest way to deliver lessons in this time of pandemic. Grade 7 students of the SY 2020 – 2021 may not
experience the tablets, however, their academic performance of the previous year becomes the way for the researcher
to think and asked “if the satisfactory academic performance of the 13% of the total learners may minimize or lowered if
the tablets will be available to the students of the following school year.”
Students doing “flexible learning,” or a combination of online and offline programs, scramble to acquire digital
devices and a stable internet connection. Some parents, especially those who are among the 27 million Filipinos who
lost their jobs due to the COVID-related economic slowdown, have balked at the unplanned expense (Santos, 2020).
With DepEd’s vision to cater the needs of the students who wanted to choose digital modules rather than printed,
provisions of tablets is indeed a great help for the parents.
Technology-Accompanied Based Learning & Teaching will focus more on the integration of technology with the
students’ SLM in Mathematics. The TABLeT Program will also include software that were aligned with the MELCs for
Math 7. Proposed freeware will include the following:

The result of this program gives a positive impact in the use of technology in teaching-learning process. It is
evident in the percentage of students who passed the subject, 100% of the grade 7 students under the digital modular
learning modality passed the subject, and not only in Mathematics but with other subjects as well.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Math Teachers – trainings and workshops on the latest trends in technology integration in teaching mathematics
2. LGU – additional tablets for students
3. School Head – installation of a more stable internet connectivity for students’ consumption as part of the
essentials in using tablets
4. Parents – encouraged to purchase gadget for their child/ren, if willing and can be compensated with their
income.
5. Students – must have willingness to learn apps for education not only gaming apps or social media apps.
