Discussion 3: In experiment B (the relationship between voltage and circuit), why is there a change in
current when a resistor is added in a circuit?
There is a change in current when a resistor is added in a circuit because of the relationship
between voltage and circuit as if a resistor is added to this circuit in a series method, the circuit's
current will be reduced. As a result, the resistor does reduce the current because the current flow
in the circuit is controlled by the resistor. If the voltage is constant, the current in the circuit will
also remain the same.

Discussion 4: In experiment C (measurement of voltage and current for various resistors), does the
resistance obtained from the plot of V against I is the same as resistance values of a resistor used in
the circuit? Explain your findings.
NO, the resistance from the plot of V against i is not the same as the resistance values of a resistor
used in the circuit. This is because the resistor has a tolerance value which is never exactly as the
marked value and indicates how much the actual value changes. Its value may be affected with
time, humidity, temperature and other factors. Hence, the experimental value of resistance
obtained is not same as the resistance values of the resistor used
2. The value of voltage must be in the range of resistor to avoid it from burning.
3. The ammeter must be connected in series connection to the bulb or resistor to get
accurate reading.
4. The voltmeter must be connected in parallel connection to the bulb or resistor to get
accurate reading.
