the brain and spinal cord.
2. What are the two main components of the Peripheral Nervous
System?
Ans: The two main components of the Peripheral Nervous System
are the somatic nervous system and the autonomic nervous system.
Abstraction
( 15 minutes) The Nervous System is divided into Central Nervous System and Peripheral
Nervous System.
The CNS has two main components these are brain and spinal cord. The
PNS has two main components these are somatic nervous system and
autonomic nervous system.
o Brain is an organ located within the skull that functions as organizer
and distributor of information for the body.
o Spinal cord serves as channel for signals between the brain and the
rest of the body.
Somatic Nervous System is associated with the voluntary control of body
movements.
Autonomic Nervous System is associated with the involuntary control of
