Introduction
• As you all know the purpose of
this presentation is to talk about
the best country to visit with
family.
• As such we will talk about why we

choose Malaysia, famous and
important places, culture and
foods, traditions and a final
conclusion.
Why did we choose Malaysia?
• Due to it’s beautiful attractions, child
friendly parks, places which will be
explained in the coming slides.
• Due to it’s rich culture.
• Islam being the majority religion in practice.
• Due to the variety of foods available.(will be

discussed in coming slides)

• Kuala Lumpur’s one of the most famous
landmark is its twin towers.
• It is build by using reinforced concrete, steel,

and glass.

• Istana Negara is Malaysia’s National Palace.

• Malays are the largest ethnic group.
• The Malay Chinese are 25% of the

population.
• While Malay Indians are 10% of population.

• Be part of a festival to learn more about Malaysian Culture

Traditions.
• Most world religions exist in the country.Hence a lot of

festivals and Celebrations take place.
Examples : Eid, Chinese New Year, Diwali, and Christmas Hari
Raya Aidilfitri, Awal Muharram, Sabah Kaamatan and Sarawak
Gawai Festival ( Malay Festivals).
• In addition, they host smaller religious festivals, such as the

Hindu Thaipusam festival, (which includes a procession from
the heart of Kuala Lumpur that ends at the Batu Caves)
• Much of Malaysia’s architecture was influenced
by colonial rulers (British, Dutch and
Portuguese).
• Many modern buildings have Moorish design

elements due to Islamic influence and beautiful
mosques can be explored throughout the length
and breadth of the country.
• Some communities continue to live in traditional

longhouses
• Handicrafts industry is growing. It is influenced by Islam,
and much of the designs are influenced by nature.
• You can buy pottery, wooden crafts, bronze and brass,

traditional silver jewelry and tribal head dresses in most
of the regions.
• The native Orang Ulu shows their artistic ability, with

wood carvings, murals, and intricate beadwork, as well
as spirit sculptures.

Foods Of Malaysia
• The Malaysian cuisine is a mixture of cooking cultures from India,
China, the Middle East, Indonesia, and several European countries.
• Malay food is strong, spicy and aromatic, combining the rich tastes of
the many herbs and spices commonly found in Southeast Asia.
• Rice and noodles are the staple of Malay food.
• Nasi Lemak: Considered the national dish of Malaysia, nasi

lemak (meaning ‘fat rice’) is made with rice, coconut milk, and
pandan leaves. It can include sambal, prawns, fried anchovies,
cucumber, and peanuts in the mixture or as side dishes.
Conclusion
• Malaysia is truly a unique destination and one of a kind. The Southeast
Asian Nation is an amalgamation of the cultures and traditions of other
countries in the region. In addition, it is one such country that caters to all
segment of travellers, be it be honeymooners, family or solo traveler.
• Malaysia is among the top 25 Most Peaceful Country, currently ranked 20th
in the 2020 Global Peace Index by the Institute for Economics and Peace
(IEP).
• Known for its tagline ‘Truly Asia’, Malaysia has long since cemented its
reputation as one of the world’s top tourist destinations. Other than
UNESCO World Heritage Sites like Mount Kinabalu, Kota Kinabalu National
Park, Malacca City and pristine marine parks, – it is also one of Southeast
Asia’s most vibrant economies that can be the launchpad for your education
and career
