FAREWELL ADDRESS

After all those days of wondering, wondering if we would make it to the end, FINALLY,
HERE WE ARE AT THIS VERY MOMENT THAT marks the summit of our journey.
Graduates of 2017, PLEASE join me in welcoming our guests. To our district supervisor,
Mr. Noe S. Benitez, to our guest speaker, Miss Michelle Anzures, to our school head, Mr.
Rolando A. Dadizon, school officials, honored guests, dedicated teachers, beloved
parents and fellow graduates, a pleasant morning to all OF YOU!

Today is a memorable day for all of us because we have just ended an episode in our

lives – elementary school life. Now, we are about to start a new chapter of our journey,
the junior high school.

Jose Rizal once said, “The youth is the hope of the motherland.” We studied in Belen

Elementary School so we could be equipped with adequate knowledge and skills in
preparation for important roles we have to play in society someday, and
most specially, to turn into reality the prophecy of our national hero, that we, indeed
can be the hope of our beloved country, The Philippines. Now, I could simply say that
we are empowered and productive student that could face new challenges towards new
horizon. For I believe, that we now have all the things we need based from the
experiences and trainings we had undergone from our Alma Mater. My dear co-
graduates, the first step has been successful. “Siring pa, the roots of education may be
bitter, but the fruit it bears is very sweet.”

The journey is long and laden with thorns but our accomplishments in this
school are very rewarding. The patience and dedication each of us has shown
throughout our seven years in the elementary are those what made us heroes like Jose
Rizal. Our graduation today is the first of the series of accomplishments that we will
surely achieve with the guidance of our parents and people around us.
Everything in this world has a beginning. In our case, we have just accomplished the
beginning. We have started the first right move. Hence, there is no reason why we
should fail in our future undertakings. Of course, we wouldn’t be able to reach this
stage without the people who helped us and who, without any reservations and
expecting nothing in return, guided us in our quest for knowledge. To them, we owe a
lot of gratitude. No amount of words can fully express how much we appreciate what
they have done for us. We just hope that we will be able to compensate for all their
sacrifices.
To our dear teachers who taught us not only the lesson in the book but also
taught us lessons in real life, we are most thankful to Sir Gerome, our adviser who is
very supportive to us and who molded our hidden
talents into reality, especially in dancing and in writing sports news. Hira mam Riza,
Mam Jovelyn, Mam Edna, Mam Vanessa, Mam Rowena, Mam Rachel, Mam Amy, Mam
Josephine, Mam Ofelia, Mam Anecia, ngan Mam Ederlina, SALAMAT GIHAPON han iyo
pagsuporta ngan paghatag hin mga mag-upay nga pulong and who guided us
also in our studies. An mga nagin Nanay ngan Tatay liwat namon dinhi eskwelahan,
hira Maam Emma ngan Sir Lando. We are very thankful to all of you.

Para han amon mga kag-

anak, who are always beside us since our first day in school, we share with you our
first taste of victory. There will be more years of struggle. But we are confident that we
will triumph because we have parents like you. We cannot
give financial or material things at this point. We can only give you the joy, happiness,
and respect that you deserve. Thank you for being responsible parents to us. We shall
not be here in this world without you. We know the sacrifices you made just to send us
to school. To this, we are very grateful. To papa MAXIMO and Mama ANALIE, alayon
pagtindog ma, pa. DAMO NGA SALAMAT HA IYO. Malipayon ako nga ipakilala ha iyo
tanan an akon ginikanan. hira an rason nga aanhi ako yana. tanan nga akon ginbuhat
ngan bubuhaton para ini iyo. I have witnessed your sacrifices and struggles in rearing
me. Thank you very much. Gihigugma ko kamo.

Elementary life is the first step in our ladder of success. We do not know what
will happen next. But if we have an aim, a goal, it will make our dreams come true. We
need to continue studying and let’s make this a pledge for the new generation. Let’s
make goodbye to our old selves and say “hello” to the new “we”. But always
remember: be Empowered and Productive! My dear co-graduates, thank you for all the
good friendship, memories and camaraderie that we shared. I hope in the near future
when we meet again, we are on the track of success in our endeavors. Thank you,
congratulations, farewell and till we meet again. Always remember, we are a Good
News! My Fellow Graduates, will you please all stand up? Let’s all say MABUHAY!
WELCOME ADDRESS

Our district supervisor, Br. Mr. Noe S. Benitez, our district representative and the school
Principal of Tigbawan Elementary School, Mr. Marcos Dagasdas, to our barangay
captain, Hon. Francisco G. Granados, and his constituents, to our school head, Mr.
Rolando A. Dadizon, Honored Guests, teachers, parents, my fellow graduates, friends,
ladies and gentlemen, a pleasant morning!
Today we are one as celebrate the graduation of 57 students, who committed to and
succeeded in studying here in Belen Elementary School.

May this day be memorable and be a starting point as we enter a new chapter of our
lives. May I ask my fellow candidates for graduation to set our minds on this once in a
life time event, a small part of our journey, yet, a precious turning point to a wider
world. Let us make our dear parents proud as we offer them our diplomas, as the fruit
of their sacrifices, a symbol of our hard work and patience for the past seven years. Let
us cherish this important day with our teachers, mentors, parents, and friends.

Most certainly, the support of family, friends and loved ones has contributed immensely
to our success. They have provided and will continue to provide the inspiration and
motivation that will take us further for years to come. I thank all of you.

There is a good reason they call this ceremony as ‘commencement exercises’. Let us
put it in our minds that Graduation is not the end; it’s just the beginning.

My fellow candidates for graduates, we are educated. Our certification is in our degree.
We may think of it as the ticket to the good life. But, let me ask you to think of it in
another way. Let us think of it as our ticket to change the world.

Thank you and welcome to the 69th Commencement Exercises with the theme:
Sabay-sabay na hakbang tungo sa maunlad na kinabukasan! God bless us all!
