Introduction
Welcome to your JCB Assistant version 4.0. The Assistant is your go to source for the latest
JCB information and tools needed to help you sell JCB products and services. The Assistant
enables you to have JCB sales material in your pocket at all times.

The JCB Assistant can be used to:

› Show customers product brochures and all the latest product information.

› Receive the latest JCB news and information.

› Calculate the right machine and bucket for a customer’s application.

This guide will enable you to use the basic features of the JCB Assistant. Including how to
open an account, how to log in, and functionality of the Assistant.

1. Introduction
Important information

› Please note the images in the document supplied may differ slightly from your experience
with the JCB Assistant. The application has some subtle differences depending on platform
(Android / iOS) and is constantly under development.

2. Getting started
Creating an account

› To create an account, please fill in the registration template, which is available from your
regional business manager / JCB contact. Please note that all fields must be complete.

Downloading the JCB Assistant

› Android: To download on an Android device, simply visit the Google Play store and search for
JCB Assistant. Alternatively, you can visit:

› iOS: To download the JCB Assistant for iPhone, you can only access this from the hyperlink
below as it is not hosted on the Apple App Store.

Logging in

› Once your account has been created by JCB, your initial log in will be as follows:

Username: Email address submitted on registration form


Password: Backhoe1945!

› After you have entered these credentials and logged in for the first time. You will be asked to
set your permanent password. Your new password must feature:

1. 8 letters
2. 1 capital letter
3. 1 alpha numeric character

› Once you have entered this information, you will be able to access the app in the usual way.

3. Using the JCB Assistant
Welcome screen

› The welcome screen is the first screen you will see when logging in for the first time or
opening up the JCB Assistant. You will be able to select the language of your choice.

Home screen

› The home screen gives you all the options on where you may want to go and the materials
you need to access.

Tiles

› The tiles contain all the sales information you need to use the JCB Assistant, including, but
not limited to:

1. JCB.com website
2. Product digital brochures
3. Product application videos
4. Customer testimonials
5. Bucket calculator (Telehandler only for V1 release)
6. Newsletters

Settings

› JCB Assistant settings can be accessed via the tab on the top left corner of the screen.

› Use the settings to update your preferences including:

1. Favourites
2. Profile settings
3. Contact admin tea

Notifications and search

› Notifications: JCB will use this feature to update you with new features and updated content.
Always check here if you have outstanding notifications to access the latest new content on
the JCB Assistant.

› Search: Enables you to quickly identify the content you need. For example, searching for ‘530-
70’ will show anything featuring this product.

4. Technical support
Contact

› For all support on the JCB Assistant, please select the contact admin buttons within the
setting tab. This ensures all queries are logged, processed and closed out.

› For any other queries, please contact your business manager or JCB Marketing.
