Regular of Permanent Employment- this type of employment pertains to a situation wherein a permanent
employee is someone who works for a company and is paid directly by them. They work until they retire or
resign, or until the company fires or dismisses them.
Term of Fixed- this type of employment pertains to a situation when an individual has an employment
contract with the company which he works for. The employment contract must be in ‘fixed-term,’—that
means it must expire on a specific date, after a specific event, or upon completion of a task.
Project Employment- this type of employment pertains to a situation where an employee is hired for a
specific project and the duration of the employment is based on the scope of work or length of the said
project. Example, architect
Seasonal Employment- this is when a temporary work done to meet an organization's temporary needs at
certain times of the year. Example, hotel staff
Casual Employment- pertains to a situation when an employee is hired to do a job, work, or service that is
merely incidental to the employer's business. For example, an aircon fixer.
2. Differentiate financial compensation, salary, bonus, and merit. (10 points)
- Financial compensation is composed of all the monetary payments given to the employee. Salary is the
daily wage of the employee. Bonus is optional or mandatory. For instance 13 th month pay and performance
bonus. Merit is an increase in the salary
3. Enumerate the types of reward system and explain each type. (5 points)
There are two types of reward system namely—monetary and non monetary reward system. Monetary
rewards are incentives that involve giving money directly to employees. For in instance, a salary increase.
On the other hand, non-monetary rewards are incentives that do not involve direct monetary payments to
employees. Holiday benefits, recognition are some of the examples.
