FACTS OF THE CASE:

May 23, 2023 Fahad and his wife were at their house to eat and after they ate,
Fahad's wife left to go shopping. Fahad called his friend and asked him to drink at their
house when the two were drunk. John offered him to use drugs when Fahad refused he
punched him and shot him in the head and Fahad died instantly.
After the incident, John fled. At around. At around 11:30 at the same day, he was
arrested and brought to this station for proper disposition of the case.

1. On March 23, 2023, at approximately 10:30 AM, in Purok Nursery Parang,

Maguindano murder incident occurred. The victim was identified as Fahad Casanguan,
a resident of the said place. The suspect was identified as John Deguzman, a known
drug user in the area. According to the witness, Jehana, the suspect arrived at the
victim's house and demanded to use illegal drugs with him. However, Fahad refused to
comply with the suspect's request, which led to an argument between the two.
2. Initial investigation revealed that during the argument, John punched Fahad and fired
a 45 caliber gun, hitting him in the head and causing his death. The victim's wife,
Hasna, witnessed the incident and immediately called for assistance.

2. On March 23, 2023 a murder occurred involving the victim Fahad and the suspect
John. The incident occurred at [insert location of incident] and was witnessed by
Jehana. Evidence collected at the scene includes a pistol and a bullet.

3. Since the last progress report, we have made significant progress in the investigation.
Our team has conducted multiple interviews with witnesses and suspects, and analyzed
the evidence collected at the scene. Based on this, we have developed a clearer
understanding of the circumstances surrounding the incident.

4. We have established that the root of the murder was related to illegal drug use.
Specifically, it appears that John became angry after Fahad refused his request to use
illegal drugs. This led to an altercation between the two men, during which John pulled
out a pistol and shot Fahad.

2. That on March 23, 2023 about 10:30 am received a report from Hasna Abdulkadir
regarding a case murder that took place at Purok Nursery, Parang Maguindanao. The
victim was identified as Fahad Casanguan, and the suspect is John Demonteverde.

3. The court sentenced John Demonteverde to life imprisonment. The pistol used in the
crime was submitted as evidence and was ordered to be destroyed.

4. The case is now considered closed, and no further updates will be provided unless
new evidence is discovered.

I, Hasna A. Abdulkadir 23 years old, Married, and a wife of the victim and resident
of Purok Nursery, Parang Maguindanao, after having been duly sworn to in accordance
with law, hereby depose and says THAT:

1. I do solemnly swear and affirm that the information provided in this sworn statement
is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge. I understand that any false
statements made herein may subject me to legal consequences.

2. I am executing this complainant-affidavit to charge Anwar Musa for Murder defined

and punished under Article 248 of the Revised Penal Code. The offense was committed
under the circumstances narrated below.

Maguindanao.

I, JEHANA MANGATONG, 21 years old, single, and resident of Purok Nursery,

Parang Maguindanao, after having sworn in accordance with the law, do hereby depose
and state THAT:

1. I was present and personally saw that accused, John Demonteverde, committed the
crime of Murder against the victim Fahad Casanguan.

2. On the aforementioned date, approximately 10:30 o’clock in the morning, I was

present at the residence of Anwar Musa. I had come over to discuss a personal matter
with Fahad when an argument broke out between John Demonteverde.

3. I witness John punched and point a gun before he fired the gun in the head of Fahad.

I executed this affidavit to attest the truthfulness of the foregoing facts and to support
the filing of Criminal Case against John Deguzman for violations of Murder under
Article of 248 of Revised Penal Code.

assigned at Illana Bay Integrated Computer College, Inc. Criminology Department, do
hereby depose and state THAT:
1. That on or about 9:00 o’clock in the morning, March 23, 2023. I, 1 st affiant received a
report thru a phone call from Hasna Abdulkadir regarding an incident of Murder at Purok
Nursery, Parang Maguindanao.

2. That immediately after a receiving the report, we proceed in the reported place and
that thereat, we saw the victim Fahad Casanguan

3. That upon interview on Hasna Abdulkadir, killed his husband during an argument.

4. That we invited John Demonteverde to go with us in the Police Station to clarify

things which he readily acceded.

5. This affidavit is made to attest to the circumstances surrounding the arrest of John
Demonteverde and to establish the basis detention in relation to the Murder case.
