The document provides details on the process for developing three illustrations of fairies wearing decorative crowns and outfits. For each illustration, the artist sketches the figure and crown/outfit, scans it, then uses selection and painting tools to add base colors. Shadows and highlights are applied using polygon and brush tools and smudged for realism. Details like eyes, hair and crown designs are added last using brush tools. The final illustrations effectively depict fairies wearing elaborate and beautifully rendered crowns and flowing outfits.

For this first crown illustration, I started by
sketching the figure and crown on paper, then scanned it. I then used the polygon tool to select the face and body of the figure and used the paint bucket tool to color the selected figure. I then selected the places where the shad- ows would be using the polygon tools and col- ored it with the paint bucket tool. I then procced to add the highlights and added the base hair color and the lips. I also added the base color for the crown and eyes. After adding all the base colors I proceed to add the details by using the paint brush tool.
After adding all the details, I smudge the high-
lights and shadows, using the smudge tool so that they look natural. I also removed the crown sketches using the eraser tool so that the crown look prettier. 1st Crown Illustration Final 1st Crown Outfit Development
