Important Details
Due date on Canvas by 11:59 p.m.: Monday, November 27
Length: 750-1,000 words (not including the prompts in the template below)
Percentage of final grade: 10%
Number of sources: 3 outside sources
Citation style: MLA
Document design: 12-point font, 1” margins, Times New Roman or Calibri font
Acceptable file types: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf (do not submit Google Docs or you will not receive credit)

Instructions: Complete the following template. Be sure you include all the details you will use in your
podcast. Be sure to fill-in the “time” column to keep yourself on track. When you sit down to record your
podcast, you should use this template as an exact script for your assignment. Based on feedback, you can
edit the script before you submit your podcast.

 This should be about one minute
 Identify yourself (name and your connection to the topic)
 Tell why your show has come into being and what you hope it offers, and
what the listener can expect can expect in the show.

Main Idea or Argument and Topic Background: You might also discuss the
background or relevance of the topic and define the problem or issue if there
is one. Include your main point and one or two supporting details (e.g., data
or quotes to back you up).
