Aim:- Analysis & Design raft foundation of a box culvert bridge having 12 M span and 5.5
M height in STAAD pro and applying loads as per IRC 6.
Given Data:-
No. of Cell = 1
Clear Span (skew) = 12.00 M
Clear Height at outer edge = 5.50 M
Clear Height at median edge = 5.50 M
Design parameter
Grade of Concrete = M 35
Grade of Steel = Fe 500
Clear cover for earth face structural component = 75 mm
Clear cover for inside face structural component = 50 mm
Clear Cover for foundation = 75 mm
Creating a 2D model using a grid model with appropriate dimensions. For making a
frame considering the centerline from both sides and assign proper distance nodes for
haunches. after that we need to assign the properties to the structure with appropriate
size. then we need to assign the support as fix but support then adding spring constant
using calculation. spring constant calculated on the basis of safe bearing capicapity of
soil.
