    Sports Intramurals 2023 Preliminaries

    Pedro Guevara Memorial National High School’s Sports Intramurals returned with
    great anticipation and excitement for another successful year. The tryouts, which took place
    inside the PGMNHS Campus, showcased the students' unwavering determination and
    passion to excel in their chosen sports.

    With a total of 19 different sports spread across four days, from September 26 to 29,
    the Sports Intramurals offered a wide range of opportunities for students to showcase their
    skills and compete against their peers. Each sport had its own elimination tournament,
    ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all participants. Dedicated tournament
    managers and Grade level coaches worked tirelessly to oversee the tryouts and ensure a
    smooth and organized event.

    On the first day (September 26), the school’s Open Gym, Gabaldon Stage, and
    Alumni Building buzzed with excitement as volleyball, taekwondo, table tennis, and chess
    took center stage.

    The second day (September 27) brought even more thrilling action as sepak takraw,
    pencak silat, billiards, badminton, and Dancesport took place at various venues within the
    school premises. The atmosphere was immensely captivating as students showcased their
    skills and battled it out for a chance to represent their Grade level in the upcoming
    intramurals.

    As the event entered its third day (September 28), the excitement continued to build
    with Aero Gymnastics, cheer dance, basketball, and arnis captivating the audience. The
    level of talent on display was truly remarkable, and it was evident that the students had put
    in countless hours of practice to perfect their routines and techniques.

    Finally, on the fourth day (September 29), the Sports Intramurals concluded with a
    bang as Futsal, Football, Swimming, and lawn tennis took center stage. The athletes gave it
    their all, leaving no stone unturned in their quest for glory.

    This year’s Sports Intramurals provided a platform for students to showcase their
    athletic abilities, foster camaraderie among peers, and promote healthy competition. It was a
    memorable event that celebrated the spirit of sportsmanship and the pursuit of excellence.
