V59 Single board VS 6M182 separate boards Interface are the same, the only
difference is AV out, 6M182 need extra AV cable, while V59 no need

V59 with MHL Function for option, there is a MHL IC inside of the HDMI port, here
below marked in Red

Remark:

1. Master will gradually stop 6M182 next year ,and promote V59 instead ;
2. 6M182 board is with Can tuner , while TI is going to stop production of IC for Can tuner ;
a. V59 is compatible with can tuner and silicon tuner both.
3. Except chassis and turner different , we have made other hardware all common use for
a. 6M182 and V59; It means if you want to change one TV set with single board from 6M182 to
b. V59, the only part that you need change is the main board. While for separate board , you
c. Need change main board and I/O metal plate due to AV out in different way?
4. OSD can be transplanted to V59 from 6M182, make OSD exactly same, so no change
5. In user manual, only with model name different;
6. Both separate board and single board PP trials finished in Oct , and domestic market
7. Already started mass production for 29” ,32” and 50 “ ;
8. 6. There is one extra function of MHL (Mobile High Definition Link ) available with V59 ,
9. Extra cost for this function is around $4 per piece, with one MHL IC inside of one HDMI port.
10. Trials finished also ;
11. 6M182 will be continued till May, 2013, for order after May, needs change to V59.
12. While we can start V59 testing from now on.

 Insert USB drive at USB port of T.V.
 Power switch on.
 Press key from remote as “Source” “9” “9”.
 Software update will start. Also front LED will start blinking.
 After complete software update set becomes at St By condition.
 Then do factory reset and check the performance of set.

Sound Problem reported in LED Model 32PFL6357/V7 AD

• Part Description : Speaker

No sound output in USB mode 32PFL4738/v7 & 40PFL4738/v7

• Pls update attached revised software.

• In below models, it is noticed that when we play USB mode, there is no sound in AV out & one can’t use home theaters.
Please confirm is there some modification. One dealer has complained about same. I have also confirmed the thing.

Step1: Remove the back cabinet & verify the speaker location (if the speakers are not placed
As per the pictures shown below, then follow below steps & ensure the Audio Quality).
Step2: Keep the speakers such that the wires of RHS & LHS speakers are at left side. (See fig.1)
Step3: If you remove & turn around the speakers you will find the hollow slot of RHS & LHS
Speakers are at right side. (See fig.2)

Display Option Code for old Philips India model

When you replace SSB, the display option code needs to be reprogrammed otherwise there will be no picture
To do so, press “062598” directly followed by MENU and “xxx”
Where “xxx” is a 3 digit decimal value of the panel type
See sticker on the bottom/side of the cabinet for this code
Note: When the value is accepted and stored in NVM, the set will switch to Stand-by, to indicate that the process has been completed.

(PQR) for not able to get the audio output but Video is ok.

• Check AV Out Socket Soldered Proper or Not.

• Disconnect DVD Component if connected at Green, Blue, and Red Socket.
• Check the value of R921 and R922 with respective ok set and take Voltages waveform at the same.
• Check the Q903 and Q904.
• Check the Value for R252 and R253.
• Check the Voltages waveform at Pin 58 and 59 of Main Mincom IC., Ensure the TV user Volume should be 100 level.
• Check and Delete the R243, R244.
• If the Voltage wave form at R921 and R922 is ok then Problem may be in AV out Socket.
• If No any waveform at Main IC then Need to Replace the Main IC.
• Check the Complete Design Data in set.

Stand by problem solution

If set is in stand by condition then problem is different.. No ware related with software and not possible to update the software..

1. 1 .Ask engineer to check the secondary volt of PSU

2. IR/Touch PCB (have to check stand by volt either 3.3V or less then that)
3. 3 .The above two section are found good then problem with Scalar PCB

Solution – In Service menu, go in “Video Setup”, change the options as FLIP, MIRROR AND REVERCE MODE -OFF and MIRRIR

Software loading procedure for Series-6000 LCD Models

1. Unzip the provided software file into USB pen drive. After unzip, ensure the file name is
“Philips_5301B.pkg” and copied to root directory. (Do not copy “Philips_5301B.pkg” file into the
folder)
2. Connect the USB pen drive to the USB input of the set.
3. Switch on the set from Standby/Mains. After this software update message OSD will pop up.
4. Select “Yes” option and press OK key of remote to update the software.
5. After completing the software updating, switch OFF the set from mains supply.
6. Now delete “Philips_5301B.pkg” file from USB. And copy the “VDC5301B_EEP.bin” into the
USB Pen drive. (Do not copy “VDC5301B_EEP.bin” file into the folder)
7. Now connect the USB pen drive to the USB input of the set.
8. Now switch ON the TV set from Mains supply and release the standby mode. You will see the
blinking of LED, it means the “VDC5301B_EEP.bin” file updating has started.
9. After updating the “VDC5301B_EEP.bin” file, TV set will automatically switch to ON.
10. Now enter into Service and Design data with “Menu+1950” of remote.
a. Select “Setup” option by pressing OK key of remote.
b. Now select “Shipping” option by pressing Right navigation key of remote.
i. Select “OK” to do the shipping operation.
