1/2 cup finely chopped cooked chicken breast 1/4 cup finely shredded carrots
1/2 cup thoroughly cooked wild rice 1/2 cup pumpkin purée
1/4 cup flat-leaf parsley leaves, coarsely chopped 2 tbsp unsweetened smooth natural peanut butter
1 large egg 1 large egg, beaten
2 tbsp brown rice flour 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
Directions:
1. Preheat the Express Dog Treat Maker.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine the carrots, apple sauce, and egg. Whisk until they are
combined. Mix in the oats. Add the flour and mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
3. Lightly coat the Cooking Surface of the Express Dog Treat Maker with cooking spray. Add
dough to the Express Dog Treat Maker and close the Lid.
4. Pinch off walnut-size pieces of the dough (18 g, .7 ounce) and roll each into a 31/2-inch
long log. Spray the inside of the Dog Treat Maker lightly with cooking spray. Place a log
of dough into a cavity of the Dog Treat Maker. Fold in the ends and press them to fill the
knobs on each end of the cavity. Repeat, filling all 8 cavities of the Dog Treat Maker. Close
the lid, pressing until it clicks shut.
5. Bake the treats for 6 minutes. Using short tongs, turn the treats. Close the lid, pressing
down firmly; it is ok if it does not click shut. Bake the treats for 6 minutes, or until dark
brown and firm when pressed. Transfer treats to a wire rack and cool completely.

4. Bake for 5 minutes, then use short tongs to turn the treats. Bake for 5-6 more minutes.
