Basic aircraft
The basic aircraft is able to accommodate passenger
seats, cabin attendant seats, stowages, galleys and lav-
atories as shown in the subsequent chapters. However
the cabin definition starts with an uncustomized aircraft
as described in the introduction.
Description
The provision, possibilities and the effects of specific in-
stallation combinations are detailed in the appropriate
chapters of this document.
Note
• Subject to the provision of any AIRBUS proposal the
cabin layout shall be agreed between the Buyer and
the Seller within the constraints imposed by the ap-
plicable airworthiness requirements.
• The cabin layout shown in the applicable aircraft
Standard Specifications shall be used as basis for
weight and performance calculations and in the ab-
sence of any agreement on any specific layout shall
be the reference for the quantities of attendant seats,
galleys and lavatories.

Objective
Modified transition panels to comply with HIC require-
ments.
Basic aircraft
The standard lining contour of the transition panel does
not match with the edge of the aft doorframe lining, re-
sulting in a sharp edged transition from the transition
panel to the aft doorframe lining exits.
Description
The modified lining contour of the transition panel cov-
ers the edge of the aft doorframe lining, causing a
smooth transition from the transition panel to the aft
doorframe lining. Therefore this modified transition pan-
el can be used for investigations for 16G HIC compli-
ance.
Objective
To prepare a cabin colour definition of the customer's
choice.
Basic aircraft
The basic colors are defined in the AIRBUS Colour
Specification.
According to this specification, the customer has the
possibility to choose between a cool colour version and
a warm colour version.
Description
The AIRBUS basic colour definition can be modified
(apart from some standard items as per basic colour
specification) according to the customer's require-
ments. This customer specific interior colour scheme
will be covered by a customized colour specification.

To select the BFE supplier who will provide an air chiller structure to cool meal trolleys in the galley.
unit to Airbus for installation in the cabin. The condenser discharge air from the galley chiller will
be exhausted into the free area behind galley. For the
Basic aircraft aft galley a rear wall mounted chiller is installed, for the
None. forward galley the chiller is installed within the galley
unit. The cooling systems must be defined in accor-
Description dance to national authorities guidelines.
The air chiller units are provided as BFE and can be
supplied by following supplier:
EPAC selection mode
• Collins. Global Galleys and galley catering
The air chiller is installed for transversal galleys in the
area of fwd and/or aft passenger/crew/service doors.
Two types of galley cooling can be used: an air-through
system (Fig. 25-34-3), where the cooled air flows
through the trolleys, and an air-over system (Fig. 25-34-
4) where the airflow is conducted over the trolleys. The
air-through system is recommended when the trolley
pre-cooling is not available whereas air-over cooling
system is designed for pre-cooling.
The maximum number of wet galleys per aircraft and
door area is limited due to the available systems capac-
ities and load limits for the different galley locations.
