As a teacher routines and procedure are very important to have a functional day in class

without routines, procedures and transition a classroom would be difficult to maange and will
create caos and confusion. These are very important steps a teacher must take to help them
throughout the day.Routines are things that the students do every day and procedures are how
they go about getting them done. While transtions is what happens between each routine and
procedure so that studenst are aware of going from one routine to the next easily.
Student arriving in the morning-students will stand at the door and great teacher and
classmates before entering the classroom. Student will then prceed to take there lunch box to
their respeced cubby and then go to their seats. Students are instructed to color or play with
play dough at their seats until all studnest have arrived and it is time for devotion/circle time.
Devotion or circle time- students will be informed by teacher when it is time for circle
time. Students will pack away their items in there bags and stand once finish packing away.
Students will then wait on teacher to begin circle time. Once circle time is over students will the
make a lin to use bathroom before for session begins.
Lining up- students will line up according to table they will line up one table group at a
time and make their way to the bathroom. To either wash hands for break or to used the
bathroom before a class session begins once they are finished from the bathroom the form a
separate line for the ones who are finished and waiting on the others to return into the
classroom.
Snack time- once students have washed hands and return to their classroom the get
their lunch boxes from the cubbies in the line which they came in and then take there seat.
Students are to remain seated until they have finished eating their snack once completed they
are allowed playtime until break is over and they have to lined up to wash hands and use
bathroom before there next session.
Dismissal time- students are to pack their bags and then make a line they will get their
luch boes form the cubby and proceed to sit on the waiting bench until their neme is called for
pick up.
As the routines and procedure are important the transitions are just as important as it is
a from of signal to the students on what comes next. Most transitions are formal
communication for example lets lined up is an indicator to lined up. But for some teacher they
use phrases for lining up some say its time for the chu chu train and that will be an indicator for
lining up or yummy yummy time time to put somting in my tummy is and indicator to have
students get ready for snack time or even singing a song its time to go home its time to go
home lets students know that the day is done as its time to pack up and get ready to go home
these phrases are mostly used for preschoolers.
