Describe a gadget that is important to you

I’d like to tell you about my mobile phone which is my favourite item.

The mobile phone is a gift from my parents when I was promoted to the position of
deputy manager of Inspection and supervision of banks department in 2021. They kept
their promise to get me an iPhone 12 Pro max which I’d been longing for a long time.
I’m a technophile, so I like to keep up with the latest technological trends.

That iPhone 12 Pro max looks so chic with the colour Pacific blue and plain design. Its
screen is medium-sized and shiny. I was drawn to it the first time I saw it. So my parents
to buy me one to reward for my efforts over many working years.

Well, I use it every day. I spend almost 8 hours per day in working and
communicating, but I will probably reduce the amount of time using it to 5 hours or so to
protect my eyes and devote more time to doing sports.

The mobile phone has become an essential part of my life and I can hardly think of a day
without it. It’s an indispensable item to me. It's really useful and helps me a lot with my
studies, work and relaxation. Besides basic functions such as making phone calls and
texting, I can check emails and send files without opening my laptop. I can also read
daily news to keep myself informed of current affairs and look up new words when
studying English.Plus, a mobile phone is a good source of free entertainment. There are
plenty of applications to let my hair down after work, such as Tiktok, Instagram and
Youtube. I especially like watching short videos on Tiktok which summaries daily news
and hot trends, so I can always keep abreast with time.

2. Describe a book that someone gave you and expain how it influences
you
Well, I have quite fond of reading books. In fact, I love to read all types of books such as
self-help, comic thriller and motivational books. As you ask me to talk about a book that
influences me most so I strongly believe that one book named “How to Win Friends and
Influence People”

This is a motivational book which is written by Dale Carnegie. My father is a principle of

a primary school and he is also a teacher of my life. He gave me that book as a gift of my
eighteenth birthday, so I decided to read it. This is the only book in the self-help genre
and has continuously topped the best-selling book list voted by The New York Times for
10 consecutive years. The first and best book of all time. They have a life-changing
influence on millions of people around the world.

When I started to read it, then I realize that I can understand and be honest with myself
more. The content of the book gives a different perspective on the concept of Winning
Friends and Influencers. It provides the art of winning people's hearts and making
everyone around you love you. It is necessary to understand and care about the people
around you. Only then can you see and evoke their hidden potential.
From there, help them develop to a new level.
Moreover, in this book, there are so many other stories which told me that the will power
of our internal mind works for us. This book influences me a lot. Before reading this
book, I always thought about the negative and positive aspect of anything. I was less
confident as well. However, After reading the stories in this book, now I am more self-
confident as well as I always see the bright side of anything.

I live my life as I want and achieve so many things with the power of communication
arts. According to my own perspective, this book is just like a miracle and everyone
should read it once. This book is extremely useful for myself as a manager in recognizing
and valuating my colleges.

3. Describe a film that you watched and how it changed you

I would like to talk about a fictional family from a newly released movie called Bố Già.
The movie tells the tale about a 3-person family residing in an impoverished community
in Ho Chi Minh city. The head of the house, Mr. Sang, is an aged man. He has a thick
and unkempt mustache while his outfit is always dishevelled.

He’s an honest and hardworking man who does physical work to make ends meet.
Towards his sibling’s families, he’s affectionate to a fault. At times, they have exploited
him for his kindness. On the other hand, his son Quắn is his polar opposite. Quắn
is well-groomed and stylistic as he is an up-and-coming social media influencer.

Aside from his plan to climb the social ladder with an unconventional career path, he
also values individuality and personal freedom even at the cost of falling out with his
distant relatives. Mr. Sang and Quắn sometimes clash over different points of view. In
these tense situations, Bù Tọt, he mischievous 6-year-old daughter, is often there
to defuse.

This family isn’t perfect and their story isn’t glamorous. Yet that is precisely why I’m so
fond of them. They’re depicted realistically. Personally, I empathize a lot with the son,
since we’re of the same age and I share his individualistic lifestyle. I also like the fact that
even when he has heated disagreements with his dad, he still loves his father to the core.

The movie showed me that family members must know how to stand in each other's
shoes to sympathize with each other. Children must know how to care and love their
parents because they always give everything good to their children.

4. Should people see films in the cinema?

In today's digital age, the proliferation of smartphones and tablets has enabled us to
access movies on the go. While some argue that this renders the movie theatres obsolete,
others contend that the cinema hall's experience is unparalleled. In this essay, both
perspectives will be explored. In my opinion, however, watching movies in the theatre is
invariably superior.

On the one hand, watching films on mobile devices has numerous benefits. Firstly, it
provides unprecedented convenience and flexibility. We can watch our favourite films
anywhere and anytime, even while commuting to work or travelling. Secondly, it saves
us money and time as we do not have to commute to the cinema, pay for tickets or
snacks. Finally, it enables us to watch films in a personalised manner, without any
external interference or distraction.

On the other hand, cinema enthusiasts argue that the movie theatre experience is unique
and cannot be replicated on a small screen. Firstly, the large screen and surround sound
system of the cinema offer an immersive and cinematic experience. Secondly, the social
aspect of going to the cinema is lost when we watch films on our devices. It is a shared
experience where we can discuss the film with our friends and family, and make it an
outing. Finally, the anticipation and excitement of going to the cinema cannot be
replicated, making it a memorable experience.

In my opinion, watching films on mobile devices has its benefits, but the movie theatre
experience is always superior. The immersive experience, social aspect, and anticipation
and excitement of going to the cinema make it an outstanding experience.

In conclusion, while the ability to watch films on mobile devices has made it more
convenient and personalised, it cannot replace the unique experience of going to the
cinema. Therefore, the cinema experience should be cherished and preserved as a
treasured cultural institution.

5. Should we share our personal life on facebook?

Around us, we notice d many people are using social networking sites like Facebook and
twitter. It is considered by many that social networking sites have many advantages,
while some believe d that social networking sites encourage criminals. I partially agree
with both views, because of technology, people can stay closer to the world with cheap
and efficient communication.

Firstly, social media sites are like a bridge for people, especially for who live far from
each other. Because of social media, many old and new friends can chat easily, share
information about their lives. Also, those people who migrated to another country can
stay connected through social media like a Facebook video call. Moreover, many people
with similar interests can form a group and learn from each other which increases their
knowledge in that particular field community and get more idea about different painters
who work around the world.

On the other hand, social networking sites embark on many sorrowful events in people’s
life. Nowadays, people are very addicted to these social sites, which affects their
physical and psychological health. For instance, many students, who are neglected
by their friends take revenge by accessing the friend’s account and threaten them. Many
people create fake accounts and chat. There are many people who share their personal
details on the social site, which makes it easy for criminals to hack into.

To sum up, I believe that the use of social media is good to a certain level but precautions
should be taken regarding privacy and security.

6. Should we use internet in the exam?

Nowadays, the Internet is used widely in education around the world. Some people say it
is beneficial for teaching and learning because there is so much information available.
However, others claim that the Internet is bad for students' research skills and believe that
its use should be restricted in exams. I believe that use of the Internet should be limited in
some ways, but it is still a valuable educational tool.
Firstly, the Internet is essential for many people today. It is widely used in the workplace
and people's everyday lives, both for finding information, for personal finance, for
keeping in touch with friends and family, for social networking and so on. Therefore,
school students should learn how to use it correctly. In addition, students also need it for
research in school and university subjects. Nowadays the most up-to-date information can
be found on the Internet, rather than in books which can become out of date very quickly.
Using the Internet is a convenient way of finding out information and developing
independent research skills.

However, the Internet should be limited in some ways. Due to the fast development of
technology and environment protection, some shools suggest that students take online
exams instead of paper exams to protect environment. Student still can access the Internet
but in a limited way. They only use the Internet for answer the question online but social
media and email are restricted in order to prevent students from cheating in exams.
Schools in Denmark have applied the "open" examination model as above.

In conclusion, allowing students to access the Internet depends on the purpose of the
subject. To evaluate the real knowledge that students have acquired during the learning
process, students should be banned from using the Internet, but for subjects that involve
research and invention, students should be allowed to access the internet during exams.
