Statement of Purpose

Respected Sir/Madam,
I am Harsh Achal Shah, an Indian student hereby furnishing my statement of purpose for my
student visa application to Canada. My academic background, achievements, inclination for
the course i.e., Computer Programming and Analysis, my reason for choosing Canada and
Seneca College and my future plans are further detailed in the following submission.

I have completed my Higher Secondary Education from a CISCE board school i.e. Metas
Adventist School, Surat. I have flourished 89.2% in my 10th ICSE board examination and 88%
in my 12th ISC board examination in the science stream. I scored 7 band in my IELTS
examination (Listening 7.5, Reading – 7.5, Writing – 6.5, Speaking – 6). I was a participant
in the District Level of Spelling Bee Competition.

I have always been a Techno Savvy person and am always keen to learn about computers
and how to develop applications on all platforms. As a teenager with a keen interest in
computers and to cope up with the technological advancements I have learned programming
through Search engines as well as through schooling. I would say I am well acquainted with
two programming languages which are Java and C++. During the learning process I realized
how ambitious and passionate I am about computers and decided to pursue my future in the
field of programming. After scoring 94/100 marks in Computer Science in my 12th board
examination, my dream of becoming a specialist in programming suddenly seemed higher
for my future career opportunities.

I am a person who loves to study in a multi cultural environment, and it can affect me a lot
in terms of personality and Canada is proclaimed as a land of Quality Higher Education with
choice of various colleges and universities. As a student who wants just the perfect balance
between theoretical and practical exposure, I found out that Canadian Colleges are offering
the same in all the courses. Canada has one of the topmost ranked colleges and universities
with quality and affordable higher education, I finally decided to pursue my higher education
in Canada. I applied in various colleges for my computer programming and analysis course.
As Seneca is Canada’s most vibrant college and a leader in post secondary education, I
have selected Seneca College as my first preference, Seneca offers one of the best awarded
courses in computer programming and analysis. I accepted the offer from Seneca College in
my designated course of study.

I am from well established family and my financial situation is very strong. The first year
tuition fees of the course are CAD 15,912.86 which I have fully paid within the given time and
have transferred my GIC amount of CAD 10,000 in Scotiabank. My tuition fees, the GIC
amount and other living expenses for the complete 3 years of my course are being sponsored
by my family which he will be paying from the income generated from his Business. Apart
from this I have attached detailed C.A Report which indicate our liquid and fixed attest that
are available for disposal for my studies.
After the completion of course I will return to my home country India as my family and friends
resides in India. I will be skilled in programming languages, data communication, system
methodologies, client and server side development and design and maintenance of database
systems, and I would like to pursue a job as Web Application Developer in India. There is a
high demand of people in multinational companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro in India who
are skilled with the above mentioned and I hope to be one of them which I will with all the
hard work and dedication I’m ready to offer for my dream of becoming a leader in Web
Application Developer.

I strongly believe that after all the effort I have and will put in for choosing what’s best for
me and for achieving what I dream for my bright future. I will be highly obliged and appreciate
for you to consider my request for student visa application for shaping my bright future
through the quality higher education. I hope to get the opportunity to complete my higher
education in Seneca College. I assure you that the information mentioned in the submission
are correct & genuine.
