Why should you read this introduction before getting into the book?
Well, most of us, when we buy a book like this one, we expect to read this from someone who sleeps
at 9pm and wake up at 5, drink kale juice, eat chicken and sweet potatoes, drink the purest waters
from the melting ice of Switzerland collected by virgin nuns, never have fights or concerns in life. You
probably got the picture!
Although this idyllic view of the world may be catchy to sell online and create false images, those
who are genuinely trying to improve, they make us feel like piglets, discourage often some feel very
blue about themselves but this is as far from the reality of most of us, including me.
So, I decided to write this book to you, an average person who is trying to get better and improve
yourself a little bit, step by step. After all, not we don´t have always sunshine, we do not win all the
time and that is ok.
Well let me show you a little bit of who I am, and with this may encourage you to take a few of these
steps here:
I do love pizza! I love pasta and sometimes I eat them. Not as often as I wanted of course, but I allow
myself some pleasures in life.
Self-doubts are part of the normal people. When someone is always certain, is always so sure about
themselves, have not time to question their lifestyle, habits, attitudes, words… there is something
wrong there.
Sometimes, (very sparsely) I eat deep fried stuff. My family have a tradition to go to Punta del Este in
Uruguay, and oh boy these people know how to make delicious stuff. However, it is a lot of fried,
pizza, cheese and dulce de leche, which this gentleman here does not abstain to eat all those
delicacies.
I also eat French fries at the beach, and I love it, no guilt!
However, my normal Monday to Saturday evening is quite different than Uruguayan food, it is
mostly based on healthy stuff that I discourse here on this book!
It is a lot of fruits and vegies, exercising and sleeping at reasonable hours, no screen after a certain
time of the night, breathing exercises, cold showers, and reaffirming to me every time my mind try
to tell me that I am stupid or worthless that I am a great guy, who loves to help people and most of
my friends love my company!
Reading this book, torturing yourself with guiltiness and feeling down because you think that you are
not capable of putting those ideas in practise will only drag you down into the whirlwind of the mind
(which in most of us comes with the wrong set up).
So here is my suggestion:
You know that we are a animal of packs, groups, congregations. You must do a check on the 5
people that are closer to you. Look at their habits, health, financial condition, self-stem and other
aspects of life which you may consider important.
Now, most of us are a byproduct of our environment, hence if you are always getting around with
people who love to drink until lose consciousness, or eat until explode, it is unlikely that you will be
able to carry on those wanted changes without reducing the exposure of yourself to people who
have less healthy habits.
Once I was in a company who had a lot of toxic people in the common area and that was affecting
me quite badly because I thought that the problem that used to be generated by them was mine.
I had to do therapy and a lot of self analysis in order to understand but until I left that company I
couldn't**** it would be really hard to me to change something on my life without changing the
people that was around me a lot of time of my day.
Changing wasn't easy because I was working on that company for a very long time and that meant a
lot to me however it was this the change which was very painful by the way arm the detriment of my
health myself steam and even my mind was getting broken. I had to change.
That remembers me one student of mine who was completely broken inside because her boss. Her
boss was killing her inside and she didn't realise that until we started to talk about it.
Because that Lady was in a very powerful position she managed to move harself to another
department of a very large company that she is to work for however I couldn't I was in the top of my
game and for me was stepping down are going down. No line
Whatever is your case you need to evaluate what is better for you however it's very hard to stop
drinking when you hang out with people that loves drinking, it is very hard to stop eating deep fried
bad quality filmed food when you hung around people who eats that kind of stuff first stop.
I've got to tell you not even if you choose to go 2 groups and people that's have better habits love
sports love healthy eating on the beginning you will feel dislocated weird not understanding what's
going on.
Who follow the pattern the steps go easy on yourself don't try to change everything overnight start
