POSSESSING YOUR POSSESSIONS

John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with you
with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes
I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the holy ghost
and with fire. Luke 3:16.

If you are a good reader of the Bible you would have come across many
supernatural fires in it. Genesis 19 talks about fire that came from heaven
to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. In Exodus 13, you read about the pillar
of fire that guided the Israelites. In I Kings 18, you read about Elijah
calling down fire from heaven. If you read Psalm 104, you come across the
fire of God's ministers. If you read Acts chapter 2, you learn about the
Pentecostal fire.

FIRE IN THE WORD

There are plenty of supernatural fires in the word of God. Malachi 3:2 also
talks about the refining fire.

But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when
he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap.
Malachi 3:2.

Luke 3:16 also says:

 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water;
but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not
worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with
fire.

The Bible makes it clear that you shall be baptised with the Holy Ghost
and with fire. Fire is a powerful instrument, powerful in its movement. It
is penetrating due to its power. It is mysterious in actions, symbolises
power and is very aggressive. It dominates and conquers. It is
confrontational. It takes over whatever it encounters and removes
impurities. It is focused, very militant and pure.

THE CHALLENGE
There is nothing like cold fire. All fire is hot. Fire does not compromise.
This is why you need the tongue of fire after the order of Elijah. Elijah did
what no man had done before. He defied the host of hell and challenged
the backslidden nation and the prophets of Baal with his tongue of fire.
Elijah is a living demonstration of the power of the God of Israel. He
overthrew the princes or powers of darkness that had taken over the land,
that were roaming all over the place. He was the one who called for the
contest, who proposed the battle plan. He was the one who laughed them to
scorn, the one who brought down the fire. After the fire had been brought
down it brought an end to the regime of evil satanic prophets.
When fire was released from the presence of God in the Bible, it
sometimes consumed the wicked. Or it was sometimes released to protect
God's people. Fire empowers God's people. Sometimes it is to confront
and destroy the power of the enemy.
More than at any other time in the history of the world we need a tongue
that can bring down the fire and the power of God.

Under what conditions do you need the tongue of

fire?
 1. When the enemy appears to be winning the war.
2. When good things disappear unexplainably.
3. When the enemy is carrying out an evil broadcast against you.
4. When the enemy puts a stop on your moving forward.
5. When the enemy is the traffic warden of your breakthroughs.
6. When the enemy is converting your buckets to baskets.
7. When the enemy wants the children of God to move from grace to
grass.

We need the old-fashioned revival today. Instead of the old-fashioned

meetings there are modern fashionable programmes which are harmless to
the enemy. Modern revivals have no power and have not succeeded in
producing fire-emitting Christians. They have not succeeded in
empowering Christians to speak the word of power against the power of
the enemy.

FIRE IN THE BONES

The early Christians had fire in their bones. They were not spiritual
diplomats but just people on fire for God. The church of nowadays need
fire brands in the house of God. The apostles received the fire of God and
declared unashamedly the name of Jesus.
These days, there are many Christians who are ashamed to broadcast the
name of God. But the apostles collected fire, worried the devil and upset
the world. They gave the rulers sleepless nights.
Beloved, more than at any time, you need to be on fire for God. You need
the revival of fire upon your life. There are so many things that are going
wrong with Christians of today. One of them is that they are powerless. We
need the return of apostolic Christianity showcased in the Acts of
Apostles. There you read about divine intoxication. Confusion is also part
of what makes Christian of nowadays powerless. The level of baptism of
fire is very low. This is because Christians are departing from the ancient
pathways. The Bible says:

Remove not the ancient landmark, which thy fathers have set. Prov
22:28.

One of the greatest reasons there are few fire-vomiting Christians is that
Christians are gradually departing from the ancient pathways. A lot of
strange multitudes are creeping into the midst of Christians and they are
not ready to change their lives. They are fire extinguishers. There is
nothing like modern Christianity.
God Himself is completely old-fashioned. The Bible says:
And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth;
and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou
remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture
shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same,
and the years shall not fail. Heb 1:10-12.
God is old-fashioned and you cannot modernise Him. There is nothing like
a new generation Christianity. There is nothing that can beat the old time
religion. All attempts to modernise Christianity have brought up clever
sinners and powerless Christians, The truth is that Christians of nowadays
are powerless.

BACK TO THE BIBLE

Present-day believers do not want to look different from the world.
Christian sisters who claim they want the power of God go around in
men's clothes. They go about painting their nails, putting on demonic
materials and colouring their lips.
Some even buy ready-made fingernails and fix them on their nails.
Some Christian brothers now put on necklaces as if they were slaves.
African women try to copy white women. Christians who say they want
the power of God put on skin-tight and exposing dresses. They put on large
belts like wrestlers. They try to copy modernised Christianity which has
led Americans nowhere.
To get the tongue of fire you must go back to where our fathers started.
But a lot of modern Christians have been caught in modern-day spiritual
traps. There is plenty of cloning and copying going around. The departure
from the old-fashioned pathway has reduced the strength and power of
Christians.
There is another clever bondage which has quenched the fire of God in
people's lives. It is the bondage of the television. The television has taken
away the prayer and Bible study times of many Christians.
It has manipulated many people away from doing what they are supposed
to do. Some people are totally controlled by television. There are so many
things to be thrown away but people keep on embracing them. But God is
willing to give His power to you. You must be ready to receive it.
When fire extinguishers are upon your life, you cannot posses the tongue
of fire.

What are fire extinguishers?

1. Sin.
2. Worldly pleasure.
3. Carelessness.
4. Televisions and videos.
5. Heavy heart.
6. Unbelief.
7. Hypocrisy.
 8. Deceit.
9. Anger.
10. Murmuring.
11. Bitterness.
12. Hastiness.
13. Looseness: Show me a man who is very loose with woman and I will
show you a man who does not have a destiny.
14. Laziness.
15. Over-sleeping and prayerlessness.
16. Alcohol.
17. Gossiping.
18. Lust.
19. Lying.
20. Stubbornness.
21. Demonic bondage.

These are the major fire extinguishers. If you notice that your imagination
frequently indulges in lust, if you allow anything to come in between you
and the Lord, it is called idolatry. If you are the type that does not like
evangelism and you cannot pray for long, then you possess the spirit of
laziness.
God is calling you to repentance so that you can have the tongue of fire to
strike down every altar of Baal in your life. It is time for you to amaze and
shock your adversaries with your tongue of fire. The Lord has an agenda
for your life and you must not fail Him in that agenda.

Prayer point
1. Bondage of powerlessness upon my tongue, break, in the name of
Jesus.
2. Every power assigned to be stealing good things from my life, die, in
the name of Jesus.
3. Every dark power carrying evil broadcast against my destiny, fall
down and die, in the name of Jesus.
4. Every embargo, of the power of darkness, on my moving forward,
scatter, in the name of Jesus.
5. Every demonic traffic warden, assigned to my breakthroughs, fall
down and die, in the name of Jesus.
6. Every dark power converting converting my buckets to baskets, die,
in the name of Jesus.
7. Every dark power that wants me to move from grace to grass, you are
a liar, die, in the name of Jesus.
 CHAPTER TWO

FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH

God has a plan for you. It is to make you to go from strength to strength.

They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion

appeareth before God. Psalm 84:7.

SALIENT POINTS
Let these words be registered in your mind.
1. If you want to survive in this present wicked world, you need to move to
the higher ground of power. If you must survive in your life, family and
calling, you ought to possess a greater level of power and anointing.
2. There is a satanic revival of strange powers. Many are acquiring strange
powers in order to satisfy their own personal and selfish ends. The
works of these wicked entities are unimaginable. Sometime ago, one of
the political gurus in the country came for prayers, in order for him to
occupy a political position in Nigeria. I asked him what he was looking
for in a church like ours. He said he had tried all he could to get to the
position, That men had even told him to run a new car into the sea, and
recently, he was told another thing, to bring the head of an albino. He
said he refused such a suggestion, as he asked himself how he would
 because of political office cut the head of a human being. Then he
decided to try prayers.

This is the extent to which people go to get their lusts satisfied. It is not
surprising that the Bible says:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his

might. Ephesians 6:10.

The Scripture admonishes us to be strong in the Lord. It does not

admonish us to be strong in malice, fighting, fornication or lying, but in
the Lord, and in the power of His might. There are some irrelevances when
considering the power of God. Human shapes and sizes, academic
positions and positions occupied in the society are immaterial to the power
of God. Oratory ability, loudness or pitch of human voice does not matter.

A CHAMPION
The power of God is resident in the inner man of believers. What really
matters to God is what is resident in the inner man. The devil is also much
interested in the power content of your inner man. That is why people with
satanic eyes can look at a believer and access his strength. They could use
the power deposited in a believer's life.
Brethren should not pretend to be champions when, in fact, they are
weaklings. The devil is always around to test the spiritual ability of
believers. When it does this, it would realise if truly we are champions or
weaklings.
If, as a believer, you have never consciously applied the word of God
against satanic attack, or you have never quoted the Scriptures against
spiritual attacks, your inner man is weak. Many people complain that they
hate spirit husbands and wives, but if you cannot do anything against
them, especially quoting of the Scriptures against them, then you are weak
internally.
THE POWER CONTENT
After demonstrating their spiritual weakness against these spirits in their
dream, several people wake up feeling worried and angry and then they
start praying. But how beautiful it would have been if they had been
strong. Do you find yourself pursued in the dream in such a way that you
are sweating by the time you wake up? If so, you are spiritually weak.
Many years ago, a sister learnt a great lesson as she woke up one morning
and found a short creature by her bedside. The creature called all the five
names which the sister was bearing, including the names many people did
not know her by. The creature then said, "Stand up." She woke up,
carefully looked at the creature and saw that it was holding a big club in ,
his hand. She said, "In the name of Jesus, I command you to start to knock
your head with the club in your hand, while I go to fetch my Bible." The
creature started to beat itself, according to her command.
If the sister's power content was low the next day people would have come
to mourn her saying, "Unfortunately, this sister has passed on to glory."
Her believer colleagues would have gathered to sing Christian songs for
her. Such songs as "We shall gather at the river," "When we all get to
heaven, what a day of rejoicing shall it be," etc. They would not have
known that her power content was low, and that was why the devil killed
her.
Your power content determines how far you will go. When it is low, you
are a spiritual dwarf. You will not be able to resist the enemy. You cannot
resist the weakness he brings on people.

REAL OR FAKE
There are different kinds of pastors in the house of God: professional
pastors, career pastors, text book pastors and "the called" pastors. These
kinds of pastors can easily be differentiated: those who are pastors for
their daily sustainance and those who are pastors because they are called
to be pastors.
On getting to a church he was sent, a pastor took control. At the back of
the church was a big embarrassing tree which nobody ever thought of
cutting down. Sometimes, as the service was going on, idol worshippers
gathered under the tree and would be offering sacrifices there.
The newly-posted pastor grew annoyed and ordered the cutting down of
the tree. But, surprisingly, when the tree was being cut a loud scream came
out of it and blood-like fluid was also coming out of it. When it fell the
pastor went inside the church, but before the service was over the tree
grew up again. And by the second day the pastor was dead.
A second pastor was posted to take over the church. Having heard the full
story of how his predecessor died, the pastor refused to have anything to
do with the tree.
Then came the third pastor, who started to speak destruction to the evil
tree from the first day he got to the church. One day, he ordered that the
tree be cut down. As blood was coming out of the tree, he poured anointing
oil on it, and there was a loud scream. The same day the chief priest died
and through this, the work of God expanded in that locality.

THE YARDSTICK
The spiritual content of your inner man is very, very important. It is that
power within you that determines your spiritual success. If there is low
power content in one's inner man, one would be very weak at the altar of
prayer. If I ask everybody in the church to pray for 12 hours, some will go
away immediately, some will go away after sometime and some will
grumble: ''This man wants to kill people here with prayer." Very few will
carryon until the end. Why the different responses? The inner spiritual
strength of the people varies.
When your power content is low, your prayer power will be low. You will
not be happy when told to go to a prayer meeting and you will not be
happy when long prayer session is going on.
Many years ago, I was a member of the choir in a particular church. There,
we had a choir master who usually said, "Let somebody lead us in prayer,
and the person must ensure that the prayer is very, very short." We were
praying our short prayers, but one day we started to fight ourselves. The
"short prayers" led people to throw books at one another. There was
confusion and pandemonium. That was where our short prayers took us to.

MODERN CHALLENGES
You cannot afford to be weak in the present generation, considering what
is going on now, the wicked activities of the devil. You cannot afford to
remain at an average level in your power content. Immediately you are a
threat to the devil, you are qualified to be attacked by him. The moment he
sees your marriage as a danger and threat to his kingdom and you refuse to
rise up against him, there will be trouble for you.
Some years back in South Africa, witches gathered together and fasted 201
days against Christian marriages. Many Christian leaders were aware of
the meeting but just took it with levity as part of the normal works of the
devil. But within a month of the evil prayer meeting, marriages of
Christians began to crash, until some intercessors gathered to counter the
meeting. It was then that respite came.
Lay your hands on your chest in desperation like a wounded lion and pray
this prayer:
"Thou satanic prayer against the power of God in my life, die, in the name
of Jesus."

TRUE LIFE CONFRONTATION

I have a pastor friend whom I can refer to as my father in the Lord. He is
by far older than I.
He told me that he went to visit one of his pastors at a particular place and
was expecting to see members of the church, including his pastor, to come
and welcome him. But to his greatest surprise, he could not see any of
them, but what he saw was that the front of the church was filed with witch
doctors, fetish priests, lodge members in their regalia, people with terrible
satanic weapons in their hands and some masquerades.
These satanic entities came to him and said: "Sir, we have been waiting for
your arrival. Are you the General Overseer?" He said, "Yes, by the grace of
God, I am the founder of this church." They said, ''Are you the one that
brought the present pastor here to pastor this church?" He said, "Yes."
These satanic men then said, "Take your dog away from this place, because
since you brought him here, he has been a trouble maker in this place."
He asked, "What is the actual problem?" They said, "Since you sent this
man here, he has converted nearly all our young men that used to carry
masquerades and nobody is carrying masquerades now;" They continued:
"Since he came here, all witchdoctors have died in poverty, because they
no longer have customers. And to worsen the case, he would wake up at
night and move around people's houses, pointing to their houses while
speaking one strange language. And as he spoke that strange language, we
would start feeling uncomfortable. Please, take him away from here."
This old pastor said he pinched himself to be sure whether it was a dream.
He came to face confrontation with the evil powers.

THE OLD-FASHIONED GOSPEL

When your power content is high, you would not be running from your
enemy, but they would be making a plea unto you. Anytime they see you
they will panic. But unfortunately, this is not so for many people.
What is spiritual power? It is the ability to overcome the negative powers
working against you. It is the ability to be in control.
When I was born again and got baptised in the Holy Spirit, I was afraid of
myself because anyone baptised in the Holy Ghost those days was
encouraged to pray in tongues for at least two hours everyday.
I challenge you, too, to pray in tongues for at least 30 minutes everyday.
You will marvel how great God's power will be lavished on you. If you can
decided to wake up everyday at 3.00 a.m. to pray about 30 minutes for one
month, before the end of that month, you will become an entirely new
person.

THE BENFITS
I discovered that when I was practising speaking in tongues in prayer for
about two hours everyday, my lecturers were running helter sketer to
satisfy me. Whenever I went to buy food, the seller would sell more food
than my money's worth. If I entered the bus, most of the time, one person
or the other would pay my transport fare.
These are the things that can happen to you whenever your power content
moves up. Many of us do not know that we miss a lot of things by living
powerless lives.
Many are yet to fully know that "ice cream Christianity" and "kindergarten
prayer" Cannot take us anywhere in God. Many are yet to understand that
there is no gentle method powerlessness the judge is becoming the
accused. The person who is supposed to issue words of authority is now
getting arrested.

Prayer points

1. Let all the enemies of my soul start their days in confusion and end
them in destruction, in the name of Jesus.
2. I bind and render to nothing all the strongmen that are currently
troubling my life, in the name of Jesus.
3. Let the heavenly Surgeon come down and perform surgical operations
where necessary in my life, in the name of Jesus.
4. I decree happiness, peace and harmony into my handiwork, in the
name of Jesus.
5. I destablise and paralyse all territorial spirits delegated against me, in
the name of Jesus.
6. Let thunder and fire of God destroy every satanic monitoring device,
in the name of Jesus.
7. I paralyse and destroy all satanic embargoes placed on my' progress,
in the name of Jesus.
 CHAPTER THREE

THE PERIL OF POWERLESSNESS

If the kind of power God has destined for His children is in constant use by
them, they would become a terror to the kingdom of darkness. When they
speak, their words would carry weight. But unfortunately, our lack of
power in this generation has become rampant.
We have concentrated our efforts on attachment, on make-ups and on
wearing clothes that expose nakedness. We concentrate our efforts in
wrong places. That is exactly what the enemy wants. Because we focus our
attention on the wrong direction, several evil things have started coming
forth in our midst.
Sisters who are supposed to be prophetesses of the Lord cannot even hear
anything from God. There are some whom God wants to be discussing
with, but He has refused talking to them because of their idol of jewellery.
Many men come to God's house but lack God's power. The reason for lack
of power is that we are wrongly focused.
If you are powerless, you will be a chewing stick in the mouth of powers
of darkness.

DISGRACE
You must be concerned about the power content of your inner man. It is an
insult on your salvation for Pentecostal witchcraft, magicians or satanic
agents to be able to manipulate you. It is an assault to God that you can be
arrested through incantations and enchantment.
A woman celebrity came for prayers many years ago. Somebody had
entered into her shop and demanded to know how much she had sold. She
told him, and the person demanded the money, and she gave it to him. The
person again asked for the most expensive thing she had in the shop. She
told him and he said she should bring it too and she did. The person told
her further: "I love your attire. How much did you buy it?" She told him
and he said: "Madam, I would not like to disgrace you, so you can just take
the wrapper and you give me the blouse." The woman agreed and gave him
her blouse. Then he said, "Bye-bye" and walked away.
When the woman's eyes cleared, she started screaming and started reading
Psalm 23. But how come that the shepherd ran away when a dubious
person met her in the shop? After listening to her story, I said to her:
"Madam, do you want to change your focus?" The most important thing is
how powerful the inner man is.
No matter the way the flesh is polished, one day somebody will say, 'Ashes
to ashes, and dust to dust." That is the truth.
Are you there, buying special creams for your body while the enemy is
still pursuing you in the dream? You must retrace your steps.
It is compulsory for us to have adequate power deposited in the inner man.
We ought to be growing from strength to strength, not from strength to
weakness. Therefore, what is needed these days is power from above as
opposed to powerlessness.

POWER ENCOUNTER
Oh that God would bless this country, with just five Elijahs. If there are
five Elijahs in this country, there would be perfect peace in the nation. If a
community decides to fight, one of such Elijahs could say, "You must not
fight."
If it insists that it must fight, the Elijah can say, "Let fire come down." By
that kind of act, the evil intentions of people will be brought to a halt.
When power faces power, the weaker power will give way for the other.
The Bible says that evil powers and seducers shall wax stronger and
stronger.
If you take a cursory look at Acts 19, you will discover that the people of
Ephesus were keenly interested in witchcraft. They were very much like
the people of Nigeria today. Young men are using demonic powder to
attract ladies to themselves. Some people bury something in the cemetery
for seven days, after which they will take it back, and put it in their pocket.
People kidnap others because they want money. Some take a bath with
blood everyday. Some people walk to market places where there are
crowds to test juju on people. All kinds of evil things are happening:
There are satanic agents parading themselves all over the place. These
were the kind of occurrences in the biblical Ephesus, until the power of
God arrested the situation.

LEVELS OF POWER
There are four power or energy levels in the spirit, and everybody belongs
to one of them. It is left for you to decide which of the power levels you
desire.

1. Delegated spiritual authority

–This power is not resident in the operator. It is just delegated. It belongs
to another person and is usually given because of association with its
owner. As soon as a person is born again, certain amount of power is
deposited into his spirit. He begins to tread upon serpents and scorpions
and they cannot harm him. (Luke 10:19). Every believer has this power
delegated to him at salvation. Delegated spiritual authority is the lowest
spiritual level. Authority is different from power. If a policeman dressed in
uniform stands at the road junction, sees a trailer coming and raises his
hand for the trailer to stop, the driver will stop the long vehicle, because of
the authority vested in the police by the government. The policeman can
even ask the driver to come down from the vehicle and he would do
exactly so. The driver may be more muscular than the policeman and may
be able to break him into pieces if they were to fight but he would never
do so because of the authority that the police had.
If the policeman retires from service, drops his uniform, puts on civilian
attire, even a flowing garment (agbada), and stands at a road junction to
stop a trailer and to ask the driver to come down, people will ask whether
he is mad.
The power which the policeman wields belong to the government and is
not his own. The government has the power to punish anybody who
disobeys the policeman. If the policeman asks a vehicle to stop and he
refuses, the owner of the authority invested on the policeman has the
power to punish him. Some traffic controllers in Nigeria are called 'Yellow
fever' because of their uniform. But I have seen people fighting them.
This is because they were not invested with enough authority to prevent
them from being attacked.

And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this
stone that it be made bread. Luke 4:3.

There is a difference between authority and power. The day you backslide
or turn your back on God, like the policeman who put down his uniform
because he has retired, the authority given to you by God would be taken
away from you.

2. The power of the Holy Spirit

The second level of power or energy is what is called the power of the
Holy Spirit.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon
you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all
 Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts
1:8.

When you get baptised in the Holy Ghost, you have got something higher
than the delegated authority. Any Christian who is not filled with the Holy
Ghost is missing a lot. If you cannot pray in tongues, the enemy will
overpower you. You must be filled with the power of the Holy Ghost with
the evidence of speaking in tongues. The Bible says: "These signs shall
follow them that believe. In my name they shall cast out devils; they shall
speak with new tongues ..." These signs are for you, too.
If you have not received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, your power
remains a delegated authority. That first level of power is not enough to
handle African household witchcraft, let alone ancestral powers. When
anybody is praying in the spirit and is speaking in tongues, he is charging
his spiritual batteries.

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men,

but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he
speaketh mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2.

When you are praying in tongues, you are speaking mysteries.

I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all. 1 Corinthians

14:18.

You have resident spiritual power by consistently praying in tongues. The

enemy can waste any person who is not baptised in the Holy Ghost.

3. Accumulated spiritual energy

The third level of spiritual power is called accumulated spiritual energy.
This is as a result of consistent and prolonged prayer and fasting. I am not
talking of fasting that is not meaningful. God would want us to have a
fasted life. He is happy with fasted life. Some are still struggling with one-
day fasting, while God would want us go through more than three days dry
fasting. When there is no power, disappointment and frustration will set
in.
Many years ago, there was a man who used to boast: "I am a powerful
pastor." He would always urge the General Overseer. "Send me out, I want
to demonstrate power." He was then posted to one occultic village. One
day, as he was there, he went to ease himself in another man's farm. The
owner of the farm saw him, took a cutlass, sneaked close to his back and
with the flattened part of the cutlass slapped his back. He then asked:
''Why are you defecating in my farm." The man simply stood up and said
to him ''You beat a man of God.
In the next seven days you will die." The farmer was really afraid but after
seven days, and he did not die, he went back to the pastor and said, "Man
of God, I am still alive." Here was a man, boasting, "I want to explode!"
but he had no power.
If it was another pastor with higher level of anointing, his pronouncement
would have come to pass.
If you want to be special for God, and with the urge of helping others, the
first level of power is not enough. When the mountain refuses to move and
the powers of the devil are showing resistance, they are an indication that
the higher energy level is needed. But there is a price to pay, which once
paid, nothing shall be impossible. Elijah fasted 40 days, Moses fasted 40
days. Jesus Himself fasted 40 days. And they accumulated spiritual energy.

4. Dominion level
The fourth level, which is the last level, is called Dominion. This is the
kind of power God gave to man originally in the Garden of Eden. It was
the kind of power that Joshua exercised when he asked the sun to stand
still. Moses also exercised such power when he talked to the earth and it
obeyed instantly. But they did not get to that level in one day. They had
passed through different kinds of energy level, before they reach the
highest level. When you are a man of dominion, you will be bombarded
with signs and wonders.
What shall we do to get to this level? This can be summarised with 4 Ds.

(i) Desire – Do you have strong desire to be strong?

(ii) Decision – Have you decided that you will be strong?
(iii) Determination – Are you determined that at whatever cost you will
reach the highest level of power?
(iv) Discipline – There can be no power without discipline.

Several years ago, when I was young and at the University of Lagos, most
of the older undergraduates were determined to pass at all cost. They put
in their best to succeed. One night, as I was reading in the classroom, I saw
an old man who did something very strange all in the struggle to keep
awake. He dropped some ice blocks into a bucket of water and put his legs
there, and was reading. That is what we call discipline.
Things cannot be going down in your life when your power is increasing.
When the power level is higher, you can make circumstances to change.
Jesus spoke to a tree, He spoke to the wind, He spoke to dead bodies and
He spoke to adverse situations.
All of them obeyed Him because He possessed the highest spiritual level
of power. The Bible says that God created all things and put them under
mankind. You must rediscover this level of dominion today.

Prayer points

1. Thou power of God, incubate my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Power that cannot be insulted by the powers of darkness, fall upon my
life, in the name of Jesus.
3. My words, be charged with the fire of God, in the name of Jesus.
4. Fire of God, come upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
5. Dominion power, come upon my life, in the name of Jesus.
