ATTACHING AIRMOTOR TO PUMP TUBE
1. Tightly attach tie rod to the air motor (use
short threaded end of the tie rods)
2. Mount air motor on top of the pump tube
outlet and tightly connect Coupling Nut
(item 2) to air motor piston rod.
3. Hands tighten tie rods to the pump tube
with four nuts supplied with the air motor.
4. Slowly cycle the pump several times, using
just enough air pressure to operate the
pump without stalling.
5. Stop the pump on an “up“stroke and
tighten the four nuts to securely fasten
the air motor to the pump tube.

OPERATING PRECAUTION
• Use OLIVALS replacement parts to assure
compatibility pressure rating
• HEED ALL WARNINGS
• Be sure material hoses and other
components are able to withstand fluid
pressure developed by this pump.
• Do not operate pump continuously at
speed excess of 75 cycles per minute.
• Disconnect air line from pump air motor
when system sits idle for long period of
time.
• SERVICING. Before servicing or cleaning
pump, or removing fluid hose or gun from
a unit that has been used, be sure to
disconnect air lines and carefully bleed
pressure off of the system.

WARNING
PREVENT STATIC SPARKING.
If static sparking occurs, fire or explosion
could result. Pump, dispensing valve and
container must be grounded when
handling flammable fluids such as CAUTION!
petroleum products, paints, lacquers, etc. DO NOT allow pump to operate when out of material.

PUMP PRIMING
• Check continuity (a good static wire To begin operation, the pump must be primed with the pumped
connection) with an ohmmeter. Place one material. OLIVALS 751 is a double acting pump (pump material on “up”
probe on one hose fitting and the other and “down” stroke) positive displacement reciprocating pump.

OLIVALS 751 MASTER PUMP OPERATING MANUAL.

Follow these steps to set up the lubricant / sealant injection pump for product injection into valves:

Air pressure regulator for

pump primer

Air Hose
connector

Fig. 1

1. First of all connect the Air Hose to the Air Services Unit on the pump.
2. Set the air pressure gauge for pump and primer between 4 - 7 Bar.

3-way valve

Fig. 2

3. By using the 3-way valve, lift up the pump cylinder and place the pail on trolley plate/
base.

Air vent valve

Follower
plate

Trolley

Fig. 3
4. Open the air vent valve at the follower plate.

5. Turn the 3-way valve switch to down position “B” (as indicated on the 3-way valve) for
downward movement of the follower plate into the pail.

Priming
Plug

Pump tube

Fig. 4

6. Once the follower plate’s bottom surface touches the product, close the air vent valve at
the follower plate.
7. Open the air inlet ball valve to introduce compressed air to operate the pump.
8. Allow the pump to cycle. Loosen the priming plug to bleed air pocket during priming of
the pump. When there is product flowing out from priming plug without air pocket, shut
off air supply to the pump to stop pumping.
9. Connect “T” fitting with bleeder valve and high pressure delivery hose to the pump
outlet (as in Fig. 5)

High-pressure delivery hose

Bleeder

Fig. 5

10. Turn on the air supply to pump and let the pump cycle again. Turn on the “T” fitting with
bleeder valve to further clear air pocket in the product if any.

11. Join the standard or extension high-pressure delivery hose to bleeder.

OLIVALS 751 AIR OPERATED MASTER PUMP
12. Turn on the air supply to pump, close the bleeder and observe product discharge at the
end of the delivery hose. This is to prime the hose with product and remove air pocket in
the hose. Turn off the air supply to pump once there is no air pocket observed at the end
of the delivery hose.

Lube adaptor
(Connected to
valve fitting)

Hose

Fig. 6

13. Connect lube adaptor at the end of hose to valve fittings and pump is now ready for
product injection.
