NV9USB QUICK REFERENCE GUIDE


This guide is an overview of the configuration available for the NV9 USB. Refer to the manual
available on the ITL website for full information on the NV9 USB.

Configuration Button
The NV9USB has a Configuration Button located on the top of the validator unit. It has the
following functions:
Action Function Indication
Press and hold until the bezel Toggle the NV9USB Bezel LED’s illuminate until the
illuminates (>2 secs) then between SSP button is released. When released,
release (programming mode) and the bezel LED’s flicker for up to 5
other programmed seconds, the validator then resets
interface (ccTalk, parallel,
etc).
Press Twice Current interface indicator Bezel LED’s flash a number of
(within half a second). times according to the current
settings. See table below.
Press Once (<1 sec) Enables Configuration Bezel LED will flash constantly,
Card Programming. programming card can be inserted.

Press and hold as power is Resets ccTalk key to
applied (>2 secs) then release Default setting*

*This function will only be possible if the NV9 USB is programmed to ccTalk® mode. It is not possible to reset
the key from SSP mode.

Current interface indication


Press configuration button twice (within half a second) and count the number of flashes:

Error Flash Codes
If the validator bezel flashes in a sequence of long and short flashes, the following table
details the fault reported:
