Identification and Distribution Guide for Syringodium filiforme, Manatee Grass in Florida
Syringodium filiforme is easily recognizable by its cylindrical-shaped leaf.
It occurs throughout all of Florida’s estuaries with the exception of the
northeast coast above Mosquito Lagoon. It generally grows mixed with
turtle and shoal grass.
