    The book I would like to review is The Little Prince written by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

    The
    genre of this book is fantasy.It tells us about a prince from asteroid B-612 visiting six planet after
    leaving from his planet.The story was set in the 1940s.

    The story focuses on a little prince who lived on a small planet.There were three very small
    volcanoes in the planet, two active and one extinct. He cleaned them out every morning and even
    cooked his meals over them. There was also one and only flower on his planet which he took care of.
    However, one day something unpleasant happened between them .The prince decided to leave the
    planet. He visited other planets where there was only one person each. Along his journey, he met
    with the king, the conceited man, the tippler, the businessman, the lamplighter and the geographer.

    The prince wondered whether the arrogant king knew that he could only rule a rat as there
    was no other living things on his planet. He was also confused about for what the businessman
    counted and recounted his properties day to day. The little prince was unable to understand the
    behaviors of the the elders. At last, he landed on Earth.He was surprised not to see any people as he
    was in the desert. Then, he met with roses which looked like the same with his flower on his planet.
    He was upset at first because he thought his flower was the one and only existed in the universe.
    Soon, he met with a fox and tamed it. For the fox, the prince was unique as they were friends now.As
    the prince made friend with the fox, it became unique for him.

    My favourite character in this book is the fox.It is because the fox was clever and patient.It
    was the prince’s friend.At the first,It asked the little prince to tame it.In the lessons of taming,it make
    the prince know how to love someone.Eventually,it managed to teach the prince to understand why
    his rose is so important to him.

    I like this book because it tells us how important friendship and love is.It also tells us to
    appreciate simple things in our life.I learnt that we must appreciate everyone who love us from time
    to time.It is because the love is the most important things in the life.We can’t buy it with money.

    All in all,I would highly recommend this book to my friends.This is because it has an
    interesting plot.Besides,the story is easy to understand since it is written in simple English.Moreover,it
    also has a variety of moral values which suitable for young readers like me.
