SALES EXECUTIVE

JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for promoting sales and client development. Ensures a high level of quality in all Sales area
and ensure positive community relations in accordance with the standards, policies and performance
guidelines as established by Accord.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


 Check client’s satisfaction and gain support for future business activities:
 Ensure client contact & Check on client’s satisfaction
 Entertain clients for future business solicitation
 Motivates and trains Sales Coordinators to ensure their best performance.
 Establishes good working relationships within the department and with other departments.
 Be well-versed with the extents, limitations, procedures & operational aspects of all other
operating departments.
 Meet profit plan activities: In conjunction with Manager review:
 Past year’s business performance and profit plan.
 Analyze price increment
 Set new target for business required
 Review monthly sales revenue versus plan
 Solicit new accounts for future business
 Review market competition and conduct
 Maximize profit through effective management
 Analyze profit plan and sales target.
 Maintain accounts’ contact to sell Hotel function facilities activities
 Prepare weekly call plan
 Follow up on new leads assigned by Manager
 Monthly update of business account
 Book new business
 Ensure rooms sales
 Review and update each confirmation and obtain necessary information for follow up.
 Actual business versus new pick up for departmental forecast to ensure target is met
 Increase business revenue through new business or upselling
 Closely monitor the accounts revenue and business production
 Review available dates and suggest to clients.
 Review and update each confirmation and obtain necessary information for follow up.
 Monthly update on account list
 Update accounts data
 Invite clients for venue inspection
Other:
To follow the principle that Guest is always right and that the Guest is Priority.
Guest preference to be given top most priority always.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is
essential to the successful performance of this position. Employees with irregular attendance will be
subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, this position requires to work in varying schedules to
reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and
meetings is required.

Upon employment, you are required to fully comply with Accord rules and regulations for the safe and
effective operation of the hotel’s facilities. Violating hotel rules and regulations will be subject to
disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a
combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function
to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the hotel:
 Attends daily morning department meeting.
 Attends daily & weekly Marketing Division Meeting.
 Assist Manager to meet with all influential clients and ensures that pre and post conference
meeting are adapted.
 Executes on- of site inspection trips to hotels by major clients.
 Establishes new corporate accounts.
 Performs sales related duties and any special project assigns.
 Provide effective communication and feedback in regards to client needs.

SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and
demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable
accommodation, using some other combination of knowledge, skills, and abilities:

 Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the
workplace.
 Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
 Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
 Must possess basic computer skills.
 Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer
system when applicable.
 Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and prepare complex reports

1. Experience:

Minimum experience required.

2. Education

High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
