Follow this order: Milk Fruit Vegetable (Always begin with CHO-containing
food groups)
Add all the grams of the carbohydrates you have used from milk, fruit, & veggie
exchanges. then, Subtract(the adding chos from total g CHO, which case has needed.
After that, divide the number you have got it by 15 to give you how many starch
.exchanges you will have
To find outhow many meat exchanges you should prescribed. You should add all the
grams of protein used from milk, veggie, and starch exchanges. then, Subtract the
adding pros from total grams of protein.after that, Divide the number you have got it
.by by 7 to get out how many meat exchanges you need
Lastly, to find out how many fat exchanges you will have, Add grams of fat used so
far from starch and meat exchanges. Then, Subtract from total fat grams and
.finallydivide by 5
