What is DepEd
Order 44, s.
2015?
School Improvement Plan (SIP) is a
roadmap that lays down the school
specific solutions to corresponding
priority improvement areas covering a
period of three years.
A list of different interventions that gives
solutions to the school problems and issues with
the help of the community and other
stakeholders.
Further, pursuant DepEd Order 44, s. 2022 known
as the Adoption of the Basic Education
Development Plan 2030 schools shall craft SIP
to improve key result areas in basic education
such as access, quality, , equity and well being.
What are the
objectives of
DepEd SIP?
Formulated in collaboration with the community, SIP
is a roadmap that lays down the school’s specific
solutions to corresponding identified Priority
Improvement Areas (PIA) covering a period of three
years. It aims to improve the three key result areas in
basic education: access, quality, and governance.
Access
-means to the ways in which educational institution and
policies or at least strive to ensure that students have equal
and equitable opportunities to take full advantage of their
education.
Accessible Education
-provides equal opportunities for all children regardless of
their background, socio-economic status, or disabilities. It
ensures that every child has the chance to acquire the
knowledge, skills and competencies needed to succeed in
life.
Quality
-it encompasses meaningful learning relevant content,
effective teaching methods, assessment aligned with the
learning goals and development of critical thinking , problem
solving and lifelong learning skills.
Governance
-school rehabilitation and maintenance program improve
school facility and learning centers. Sufficient school
facilities and laboratories.

low achievement rate in English, Mathematics,
Science subjects
Presence of non-readers and non-numerates
especially in the first year level
poor study habits
low participation rate in ICT program
What is the purpose
of 4 pillars of
education?
1. To promote the formation of human person in all his or her
dimension and all stage of his or her development
2. To make each adult active builder of his or her future and the
future of the communities to which he or she belongs.
3. Supports and enables schools to continually improve its own
governance and delivery of quality basic education services that
are responsive to the diverse needs of it’s learner.
These plans aim to establish a unified vision for schools,
access its needs, and then outline a program to resolve
all issues uncovered.
School administrators use these plans to close the
achievement gap and address low performance in
classrooms.
Supports and enables schools to continuously improve
its own governance and delivery of quality basic
education services that are responsive to the diverse
needs of its learners.
