Activity #2. Explain your reaction about the basic volleyball rules that have been
recently changed. (25 pts.)
Answer: For me, the changes in volleyball rules are good because it is helpful fo
the players. The changes in serve, scoring, rotation, playing the game and
violations are quite good and acceptable. Where in serve the Server must serve
from behind the end line (dark green/blue) until after contact, ball may be served
underhand or overhand, ball must be clearly visible to opponents before serve,
served ball may graze the net and drop to the other side for a point, first game
serve is determined by a volley, each subsequent game shall be served by the
previous game loser, serve must be returned by a bump only and no setting or
attacking a serve. The scoring where the rally scoring will be use there will be a
point scored on every score of the ball, offense will score on a defense miss or out
of bounds hit, defense will score on an offensive miss, out of bounds hit, or serve
into the net, game will be played to 25 points. and must win by 2 points. And
many more changes that brought excitement and fairness to the game.
Activity #3. Give your personal idea about the importance of the basic rules of the
game in volleyball. (25 pts.)
Answer: The importance of basic rules of the game in volleyball is to make the
game fair and appropriate for the players and as well as to the audience. Rules
provide an agreement of understanding to competition. In sports, rules define
what is allowed or not allowed to occur during situations on and off the court.
Rules govern anything from wearing proper uniforms to how to keep score during
games of different levels of competition. This rule are the most important in a
game where it gives the game fairness, competition and it is what makes a game.

1. Visit some Websites and Research for more new updated Rules of the
Volleyball. Make a short essay and send what you have discovered about the
new updated rules of the game, specifically the International matches.
 The Libero can now be Team Captain
From 2022 forward, the Volleyball rules will allow the Libero to be team captain.
The previous rule did not allow the Libero to be captain, based on the fact that
the Libero was always substituted. However, this argument has been discarded,
since a regular player captain may also be substituted.
 Substitution of an Expelled player after 6 substitutions
An expelled player must be substituted with a legal substitution. In the case that
the team has already made 6 substitutions, the expelled player may be
substituted with an exceptional substitution, thus preventing the game from
finishing due to an "incomplete team
 Jumping Over the Scorer's Table to retrieve the ball is allowed
t is now allowed to retrieve the ball by jumping over the scorer's table. Previously,
the rule did not allow this action.
4) Simultaneous Contact of the Block
The simultaneous contact of the block against the opponent's attack hit is not
considered a block fault anymore. The Block fault will only be pointed if the
contact with ball occurs before the attack hit
 Court Colors
The Front Zone and Back Zone of the Volleyball court can now be of different
colors. In the previous rule, only the playing area and the free area had to be of
different color.
 Extinction of the Penalty Area
An expelled player or member of the technical commission must head

directly to the locker room.

-While watching the video In the match, the Libero showcased her exceptional skills. With her
agility and quick reflexes, she was able to cover large portions of the court, diving for balls that
seemed impossible to save. Her serves were powerful and precise, often catching the opposing
team off guard and scoring points.
Her game awareness was evident in her ability to read the opposing team's strategy and adjust
her positioning accordingly. She was always in the right place at the right time, ready to receive
the ball and pass it accurately to her teammates.
her defensive skills were top-notch. She made numerous successful digs, saving the team from
potential points by the opposing side. Her ability to predict where the ball would land and her
quick movements to get there were nothing short of impressive. the Libero's prowess in the
match was evident in her agility, defensive skills, game awareness, and leadership. She was a
key player in the match, contributing significantly to her team's performance.
