INTRODUCTION
II. I have done some research on this issue (establish credibility). Vitamin C is known as
ascorbic acid.
A. Vitamin C is probably the best-known type of vitamin in comparison to other
vitamins. It is an essential water-soluble vitamin as it is required for several
processes. ( National Institutes of Health, 2020)
B. One of those is acting reducing agent in collagen synthesis. ( National
Institutes of Health, 2020)
III. As such, we should change our mindset about Vitamin C. So, the topic of my
presentation today is to start taking Vitamin C (introduce topic).
A. We need to take Vitamin C supplement as daily routine.
1. We need to consume Vitamin C to supporting the immune system that
can help stimulate the production and function of white blood cells.
2. Vitamin C can be obtained through food or supplements.
3. We need to consume Vitamin C in our life in order to avoid the
deficiency of Vitamin C that can bring harm to our health.
IV. So today, I would like to persuade everyone of you here to start taking Vitamin C
supplements because Vitamin C is important to our body.
(Transition: I will begin to introduce to everyone why vitamin C critically importance in our
body)

(Transition: Now that you know the need of vitamin C in our body. Let me tell you the best
way to prevent shortage of Vitamin C.)
2. I can give you some tips to minimize the loss of vitamin C and retain
the nutritional value of food.
a. Minimize cooking time. You need to cook vegetables using
methods that require shorter cooking times, such as steaming or
microwaving, to preserve more of the vitamin C content.
b. Second is use minimal water. When cooking, use a little water
as possible, as vitamin C is water-soluble and can leach into the
cooking water. Steaming or microwaving with minimal water is
preferable.
C. Last, you can consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking vitamin C
health supplements especially high doses.
1. According to the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey
(2020), vitamin C intake for adults males is 105.2 mg, day and 83.6
mg/ day for adult females.
