Assistant Professor HOD, CEIT
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Working in a good environment and motivation enhance the quality of the work
and I get it from my college through our Computer Networks project. I have
been permitted to take this golden opportunity under the expert guidance of
Mrs. Pooja Varshney from SGVU, Jaipur. I am heartily thankful to her to make
complete my project successfully. She has given us her full experience and
Dr. Sohit Agarwal and all CEIT staff to guide us. Finally, we thank all the

ABSTRACT
6
INTRODUCTION
Motivation
flexible network infrastructure that can handle high levels of data traffic while
remote work, collaboration, and efficient data management, which are essential
success.
7
Project Statement
Problem Statement
8
• Upgrade Infrastructure: Replace outdated switches with modern IP-
based switches to enhance network performance and support future
scalability.
• Dynamic IP Allocation: Implement dynamic IP allocation to optimize IP
address management, improve resource utilization, and streamline
network operations.
• Remote Access: Enable remote access capabilities to facilitate efficient
network management, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• VLAN Configurations: Introduce VLANs to logically segment the
network, enhancing security by isolating traffic and improving efficiency
by optimizing data flow within each VLAN.
• Server Configuration: Utilize separate servers for DHCP, DNS, IoT,
Email, and FTP services to ensure dedicated resources and efficient
service delivery.
9
SYSTEM ANALYSIS
EXISTING SYSTEM :
PROPOSED SYSTEM :
for improved resource management, and enabling remote access for efficient
such as DHCP, DNS, IoT, email, and FTP will ensure efficient service delivery.
10
8 GB RAM.
Any 10,000+ Average CPU Mark scored processor.
16 GB of dedicated hard disk space.
USB 3.0+ port.
OVERALL DESCRIPTION
COMPONENTS:
the data link layer, filtering and forwarding data to the appropriate
internet connection.
11
extends the reach of the network wirelessly, enabling devices to connect
without cables.
12
IMPLEMENTATION DETAILS
The implementation of the Enterprise Network Management System is designed
to optimize efficiency, security, and scalability across various departments
within the organization, including Operations, Human Resources, Finance, and
IT. Below is a detailed breakdown of the implementation strategy, focusing on
the deployment of dedicated servers, network segmentation, and the integration
of IoT components.
13
Two departments are connected to one router, and the remaining two are
connected to a second router. This design optimizes traffic management
and enhances security by segmenting the network into manageable sub-
networks.
2. Server Allocation:
DHCP Configuration:
14
The DHCP server dynamically assigns IP addresses to each device within
the network, simplifying IP address management and facilitating device
connectivity without manual configuration.
DNS Services:
IoT Implementation:
15
ensures that all outgoing traffic from a department is routed through its
designated router.
16
Explanation and Testing of each Service
17
• DNS The Domain Name System (DNS) :
DNS is the system responsible for translating human-readable domain
names, such as companyname.com, into machine-readable IP addresses,
enabling communication and access to online resources. It acts as the
Internet's phonebook, ensuring users can easily access websites and
services using domain names rather than IP addresses.
• DHCP:
DHCP is a protocol that automates the assignment of IP addresses,
default gateways, and other network parameters to client devices. It helps
simplify network management by dynamically assigning unique IP
addresses to devices as they connect to the network.
18
• Email:
An email server handles the sending and receiving of emails within an
enterprise network. This service allows employees to communicate
efficiently and effectively, both internally and with external parties.
Properly configured email servers contribute to smooth workflow and
collaboration.
Email-Sent
19
Email-Received
• IoT :
IoT refers to the network of connected devices capable of sharing data
and performing actions autonomously. IoT devices such as smart sensors,
cameras, and industrial equipment play a crucial role in enterprise
environments by enhancing productivity and efficiency.
20
• FTP:
FTP is a protocol used to transfer files between computers over a
network. It enables efficient data exchange and storage management
within an enterprise, allowing users to access and share files easily.
21
FUTURE SCOPE
5G Integration:
Network Virtualization:
Edge Computing:
22
Deploying edge computing infrastructure can bring computing resources
closer to end-users, reducing latency and enabling real-time processing
for mission-critical applications.
Cloud-Native Networking:
Further integrating IoT and smart building technologies can lead to more
efficient energy management, security, and automation.
23
Supporting advanced collaboration tools and platforms can improve
remote work capabilities and facilitate seamless communication across
the enterprise.
IPv6 Adoption:
