SON OF BEAST TRAINER V1.
0 (for RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 ) - March 2003 ==================================================================== Copyright 2003, Oblivion, Coaster Grotto All Rights Reserved. This trainer was designed for Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Tested primarily on RCT2 Version 2.01.032 (UK). INSTALLATION: ============= 1) Unzip the file to a directory of your choice. 2) Create a shortcut on your desktop. RUNNING: ======== 1) Start RCT first and open a game or scenario. 2) ALT+TAB to your desktop and click on the Trainer Icon. 3) Wait for the trainer to initialize before using any features. An initializati on message should appear in the RCT message window once the trainer has initiali zed. 4) If the trainer does not initialize, it will not work. Go to Help and select " Use Default Values". 5) To use the trainer functions, ALT+TAB between the Trainer and RCT. 6) Quit the trainer BEFORE quitting RCT. 7) Depending on which cheats you have used, it may be necessary to restart RCT b efore opening a new game/scenario. This is only to prevent the cheats running in to the next game. GETTING HELP: ============= 1) The Help file briefly explains most of the features of the trainer. The curre nt help file is for the Beast Trainer v2.2, but has been included as most sectio ns should be useful. 2) Keep checking the website for updates. 3) Read the online Tutorials on the website for help with some features. TRAPPER ERRORS: =============== The game contains a lot of cheat detection code. Basically, the game makes check s to see that you do not have too much money, too much land, etc. and if it thin ks you have cheated, it will display a "Trapper Error" message, and the game wil l quit. It is recommended that you save your game regularly to avoid losing larg e amounts of work if you get an error. A Trapper Error will NOT cause any harm to your PC or to RCT, it is just inconve nient and means you will have to restart the game, and will lose any unsaved wor k. If one particular feature always seems to cause an error, then stop using it. BUGS AND ISSUES: ================ 1) Delays - some of the commands make take several seconds to excecute; you can ALT+TAB back to RCT and continue playing whilst the trainer makes its changes. 2) Saving - save your game regularly, especially before using any untested featu res. Always keep a backup of your game, i.e., one that you have not used the tra iner on. 3) Exiting - it is advisable to exit the trainer before you exit the game. If yo u have many timers running and you exit the game before the trainer it may get s
tuck; this is NOT harmful to your PC. After about 20 seconds the trainer should finally quit, if it does not you will have to End Task it through the Task Manag er. 4) Initilization - sometimes the Trainer may not initialize properly, if this ha ppens none of the commands will work. Simply restart both RCT and the trainer. 5) Windows - certain windows deskptop themes with large fonts may make some of t he items on the menu bar not visible. Simply drag the side of the trainer window to resize it until the Help menu is visable. 6) Stack Scernery - do not use the Stack Scenery Command to stack rides as this will cause the game to crash. Also, check that the stacked item(s) can safely be removed before you save the g ame. 7) Sink Scenery - if you sink track and rides to the bottom of the map, you will get a trapper error if you try to delete it. 8) Indestructable Track - if you try to delete the ride after using this cammand , the game will crash! So make sure you save the game before using this command. 9) Rotate Ride Entrances/Exits - If you continue construction on the ride after using this command, the entrance/exit will return to its default position. 10) Unlike in RCT1, two tracks cannot occupy the same tile space in RCT2, theref ore, track merging will not work. 11) If you use the build thru options or the zero clearance options RCT2 may exp erience problems displaying the graphics for part of those rides/scenery items. This will not effect gameplay or cause an error, but will result in the tops of those rides/scenery items flickering. In the Beast Trainer there was a command t o to restore clearances, which would fix this problem, however, I have not yet f ound a way to implement this in Son of Beast.
