Works of River 1
A river has a three basic functions: erosion, deposition, transportation. Through the
operation or action of a river, a combination of these three processes results in the
production of numerous landforms.
A river is a large, natural stream of flowing water. Rivers are found on every
continent and on nearly every kind of land.
Rivers eventually end up flowing into the ocean.
