Equity shareholders are the owners of the company and have voting
rights in proportion to their shareholdings.
Preference shares are a type of share that carries certain preferences over
equity shares. Preference shareholders receive a fixed dividend before
any dividend is paid to equity shareholders.
25
However, preference shareholders usually do not have voting rights or
have limited voting rights.
Companies can alter their share capital structure through various actions,
including issuing new shares, buying back existing shares, or issuing
bonus shares.
Share buybacks involve a company purchasing its own shares from the
open market, reducing the number of outstanding shares.
26
10. Decision Making Pattern
27
Like many technology companies, HCL likely emphasizes data-driven
decision-making. Analyzing data and metrics can play a significant role
in shaping strategies and operational decisions.
Customer-Centric Decision-Making:
The leadership style of top executives, including the CEO and other key
leaders, can significantly impact the decision-making pattern.
28
Willingness To Expand And Relevant Considerations
Companies assess the demand for their products and services in potential
markets. Identifying growth opportunities helps in determining the
feasibility of expansion.
Expansion plans are usually aligned with the company's overall strategic
objectives. Considerations may include whether the expansion fits into
the existing business model and contributes to long-term goals.
29
Companies assess the regulatory environment of the target region to
ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. This includes
understanding tax implications, labor laws, and other regulatory
requirements.
