ARRANGEMENT OF CHAPTERS
Chapter I
Introduction
I. Problem definition / statement. This will cover company profile too if the topic chosen pertains to
a company.- - 5 Pages
II. Research Objectives not more than 5 objectives, Use KSA model. - 1 Page
III. Research Methodology State the basic and secondary research design. If it is a sample survey
explain, sampling design and questionnaire design. Sources of data and techniques of data analysis.
- 3-4 Pages
IV. Limitations of the project study - 1 Page
Chapter II
Literature Review
Discuss theories, concepts, hypotheses, models etc., underpinning the project work (project report
is an application of theoretical knowledge in analyzing a real life problem/issue faced by an
organization) - 15 pages
Chapter III
Findings
This is the longest section of the project report. In these chapters’ data collected will be presented
and analysed without drawing any inference. Depending on the volume of data presented, there
could be 3 or 4 chapters in this section. - at least 40
pages
Chapter IV
Summary of Findings
This chapter will be a brief statement of analysis already stated in the findings section. - 3 pages
Chapter V
Conclusions and Suggestions
- 3 pages
Bibliography : References like articles, books, websites etc., used in the project work must be
included in this section strictly following the citation style (refer MLA's Handbook and other
style manuals)
Appendix : This will include printed secondary data (only if it is very critical) and any
questionnaires used for the study.
(total no. of pages must be at least 100 but not more than 150)
FORMATTING YOUR PROJECT REPORT
1. Reports should be typed neatly only on one side of the paper with 1.5 spacing on A4 size bond
paper (210 x 297 mm). Use dry tone Xerox for printing.
The margins should be: Left 1.25”, Right 1”, Top and Bottom 0.75”.
2. The soft copy should be submitted in the Student Portal and the hard copy should be sent to the
University on the below address -

3. The project report must be paper back bound. Do not insert transparency sheets in the report. Do
not use spiral binding.
1. The chapters, sections and subsections may be numbered in the decimal form for e.g. Chapter 2,
sections as 2.1, 2.2 etc., and subsections as 2.2.3, 2.5.1 etc.
2. Each chapter must be left justified (font size 16). Followed by the title of chapter centered (font
size 18), sections/subsection numbers along with their headings must be left justified with section
number and its heading in font size 16 and subsection and its heading in font size 14. The body or
the text of the report should have font size 12. (Times New Roman)
3. The figures and tables must be numbered chapter wise for e.g.: Fig.2.1 Block diagram of a serial
binary adder, Table 3.1 Primitive flow table, etc. All figures and tables should appear either in the
same page or the next page in which they are referred first. Preferably, all figures and tables are to
be placed either at the top or the bottom of a given page.
4. References: The references should be numbered serially in the order of their occurrence in the
text and their numbers should be indicated within square brackets for e.g. (3). The section on
references should list them in serial order in the following
5. Due care should be to avoid spelling and typing errors. Spell check, Grammar check, must be
applied. It should noted that report-write-up forms the important component in the overall
evaluation of the project.

Undertaking this project as part of my university coursework has been invaluable in enhancing my
knowledge and skills in the field of Management. The curriculum provided by the university has
equipped me with a solid foundation, enabling me to conceptualize and execute the project
effectively.
Furthermore, I am grateful for the practical experience I have gained from working in the industry.
This experience has complimented my academic learning, allowing me to apply theoretical
concepts to real-world scenarios with confidence.
FAQ'S
1. What is Project Synopsis?
• Student needs to submit two synopsis on two different topics based upon their Academic and
Professional experience out of which one will be approved by the Project committee if it is
up to the mark.
A project synopsis is just a breif of the topic which you have choosen. It should be of 4-5 pages
including the Cover page.. Also, before drafting a project synopsis please refer to the **guidelines
& Sample Synopsis shared by University thoroughly.**
Students will find the synopsis tab activated in the learning portal as per the dates in the Project
notification sent. As you have to prepare two synopsis, there should be two different PDF files
Step 02: Click on Choose Files then select both of the PDF files from your system and upload it.
NOTE: You need to upload both the synopsis in a single attempt. The format of the file should be
PDF only. Press CTRL Key (on the keyboard) along with the left mouse button, in order to select
both files from your system.
Once the evaluation is completed, student will receive an email regarding the approved/disapproved
topic. Also, the status will be visible on the Project tab.
A project report is a comprehensive document that provides detailed information about a particular
project.
6. For how many pages, I have to prepare the Project Report?
Project Report is a detailed report of around 100-120 pages. Students are suggested to adhere to the
guidelines & parameters while preparing the same.
Soft Copy -
Students need to upload the soft copy of the Project Report on the approved topic in the portal under
the project report tab as per the timeline of the Project notification sent.
Hard Copy -
Student needs to send the hard copy of the report on the University address mentioned in the
guidelines shared. Kindly ensure that the University receives it timely.
Note – University should receive the hardcopy of your report within 15 days after the deadline of
uploading the softcopy in the portal. Please refer to the Project Notification for the exact
deadline for submitting the softcopy.
• After uploading the report in the portal, student need to pay the viva fees and select the slot
for themselves from the project viva tab.
• Only the students who would have uploaded the softcopy of Project report as per the
timeline, will be eligible to book their Viva slot.
• Viva session will be conducted online as a one-on-one Audio/video conference with the
assigned Professor. It will last between 10 to 30 minutes and will focus on the submitted
project.
• Students must prepare a presentation of approximately 5-10 slides to present during the viva.
This presentation is mandatory and should be based on the report they have prepared. The
key slides of the presentation should include the project title, company name,
objectives, findings, and suggestions.
9. What are the maximum marks for Project report & Viva Voice?
The Project shall be given a weightage of 75 marks and the Viva Voce shall be given a weightage of
25 marks.
11. Do students need to fill out the exam form for Project Work?
Yes, students need to submit the online examination form as given in the Learning Portal to see the
required tab active in their account.
