Best Practices
You will need 5 - 6 hours of your time to finish interviews. Each interview will have a
duration of 60 minutes.
You can use your computer’s microphone, camera and speakers; however, we
recommend using a headset. For further details, read our Amazon Chime’s step-by-
step guide.
Interviews will include a technical (systems design exercises) and competency-based
parts, focused on Amazon's Leadership Principles.
Please make sure you ask questions to your interviewers when you finish.
For the system design interviews, please make sure you have pen and paper around
you in case you need it.
Interviewers will be technical Amazonians (SDE/SDM). It might be the case that a
couple of interviewers will be shadows for training purposes. In this case, the
interviewer and the recruiter will let you know in advance.
You might hear people typing or going on mute while you speak. This is to guarantee
they take the best notes so they can better defend you when it comes to discussing
your interview feedback.
