STEP 1.0 - Diffuser

STEP 1.1 - Check Diffuser Fit to End Cap without “O” Ring in Place
STEP 1.2 - Install “O” Ring onto Diffuser and Lubricate

Apply “O” Ring Lube


Around “O” Ring
Step 1.3 - Insert Diffuser Into End Cap

Align the Anti-Rotation Pin in End


Cap with Hole In Diffuser

Seat Diffuser onto End Cap and


Insure the Diffuser Lays Flat (no
gaps)
Step 2.0 – Install Thrust Bearing Into Casing
Step 2.1 – Inspect Casing for Burrs and Debris

Remove ALL Burrs and


Wipe Clean of Debris
Step 2.2 – Install “O” Ring onto Thrust Bearing

Apply “O” Ring Lube


Around “O” Ring
Step 2.2.1 – Insert Thrust Bearing into Casing

Using Rotor Removal Tool, CAREFULLY


Guide Thrust Bearing Into Casing

Make Sure Thrust Bearing is Not Cocked


when Inserting in Place
Step 2.2.2 – Seat Thrust Bearing into Casing

Use Caution when Guiding “O” Ring


Past Volute to Avoid Tearing the “O” Ring

Reverse Rotor Removal Tool and Firmly Seat


Thrust Bearing into Casing

Inspect Back Side for Uneven Seating


Step 3.0 – Assemble Split Bearing to Rotor

Step 3.1 – Lubricate Split Bearing I.D.

Apply “O” Ring

Step 3.2 – Pinch Split Bearing Around Rotor – Check for Free Movement

Step 4.0 Install End Cap

Install “O” Ring onto End Cap


Step 4.1 Lubricate “O” Ring and Casing

Lubricate Casing and “O” Ring with


“O” Ring Lube
Step 4.2 Align End Cap and Insert into Casing

Align End Cap with Serial Number on Top

Push End Cap up to “O” Ring


Step 4.3 – Rotate Casing into Vertical Position – Complete End Cap Seating

Avoid Pinch Point Avoid Pinch Point

End Cap Properly Seated

Stand Casing in Vertical Position


Step 4.4 – Install Bolts and Tighten End Cap to Casing

Tighten Bolts in a Star Pattern

Step 5.0 – Install Aux Valve

“O” Rings

Step 5.1 – Lubricate Aux Valve Stem Threads

Apply Bluing to Stem Tip

Apply Anti-Seize Lube to Threads

“O” Rings
Step 5.2.1 – Check Aux Valve Stem Seating

Hand Tighten Valve Stem until it Stops


Step 5.2.2 – Remove Valve Stem and Inspect Tip

Inspect Bluing on Tip for Even Seating

Hand Tighten Valve Stem until it Stops


Step 5.2.3 – Install “O” Rings and Lubricate

Install “O” Rings on Aux Valve


Stem

Lubricate “O” Rings with “O”


Ring Lube

Hand Tighten Valve Stem until it Stops


Step 5.2.4 – Final Installation of Aux Valve

Install Button Head Screws in


Aux Valve Retainer Plate

Reinstall Aux Valve Stem by


Screwing in Place.

SCREW IN SLOWLY TO AVOID


Hand Tighten Valve Stem until it THE
TEARING Stops
