Planning of The English Subject.

Planning for the English subject.

Below will be presented the activities that will be carried out in the first
level English subject of the “Easy English” course for 8 weeks. Course
aimed at young people from 12 to 15 years old. The topics, activities
and evaluation that will be carried out in this short course will be
presented.

Poor goals.

Week 1
Topics: The alphabet/ Colors/ Personal information/ Nationalities and
countries.

Didactic sequence.
 Students will be explained how to say their personal information
in English, then they will make it known to the group.
 On the blackboard they will observe the alphabet and colors and
then repeat them.
 In images they will be able to relate people from different
countries and then identify their nationalities.

Purposes.
 That the student knows how to introduce himself and give
personal information.
 Through audios and images they will identify nationalities and
countries.
 That the student manages to memorize the alphabet and colors.
Material resources.
 Activity book.
 Making plans to know some verbs.
 Images and audio for nationalities.

Assessment.
 It will be evaluated as follows:
 The student will complete sentences related to personal data.
 Match images of people with the corresponding countries.
 Match fruits and objects with the corresponding color.

Week 2
Topics: Family / description of people / recreational activities.

Didactic sequence.
 The student will be explained how to pronounce each family
member in English and they will be assigned activities where
they can identify them.
 It will be explained how to describe people, through images.
 Explain the activities they can do with their family or friends
such as sports, camps, etc.

Purposes.
 That the student knows the meaning of each member of
the family such as: cousin, dad, son, etc.
 Know how to describe people. This way you can describe
your friends, family, artists using: tall, small, blonde etc.
 I was able to pronounce the sports by narrating some
experience.

Material resources.
 Book activities.
 Sheets with images of athletes.
 Ask students for a photo of their family.
 Bring images of artists so they can describe them.

Assessment.
 An image of a family will be placed on it and the student will
have to assign the corresponding name.
 Through audio, the student will have to listen to the descriptions
and assign the name of the person they think they are
describing in the images.

Correct Objectives.
Week 3
Topic: Routines/Professions.

Didactic sequence.
 Through these topics, the student will learn to narrate
what activities he does during the day.
 They will form pairs and ask each other what they do in a
day, recording the activities that their partner mentions. (
speaking )
 In audio, students will listen to conversations which
mention times and activities that people do. They will have
to detect the time and day on which these activities are
carried out.
 They will be able to write a short paragraph about what
they like to do and what career they would like to study.
 Vocabulary we will see: professions
 Grammar : what do you like? / What do you want/ class
schedule. Practice with sentences and explain the
grammatical structure.

Purposes.
 The student will be prepared to narrate their daily
activities, what they like and don't like.
 You will learn to talk and ask about these topics,
being self-confident.
 You will have the ability to handle grammatical
structures through practice.

Material resources.
 Book activities.
 Using copies with grammar activities.
 Audios to solve exercises from the book.
 Dynamics which can be done in pairs.
 Board games such as bingo, memorama etc.

Assessment.
It will be evaluated with grammar and vocabulary exercises.
The student will be asked to write a note narrating the activities they
carry out.
The oral exam will decide what to talk about, whether you would like
to study or the activities you do during the week.

Week 4
Theme: Parts of the house/shops.

Didactic sequence.
The parts of a house will be explained to the student and vocabulary
will be given about the objects that are in a house.
In images, the pronunciation will be shown and explained. Dynamics
will be carried out where the student will practice vocabulary and
grammatical structures such as do you live in a house or a flat?
They will describe what a house has, what it is like, etc.
Extra activities copies of statements, images, vocabulary.
They will also be shown the prepositions, on, in under, opposite.

Purposes
The student will learn to describe the parts of a house, as well as
carry out conversations. With the help of texts, images and
vocabulary exercises, the student will be prepared to say the location,
where the objects are, through prepositions. Regarding the stores,
they will express their interests by demonstrating it either by writing,
talking about what type of stores they like to buy, they will develop a
dramatization in pairs, one being the customer and the other the
salesperson so that they can develop the conversation.

Material resources.
Book activities.
Extra activities.
Images for vocabulary.
Dynamics.
Teamwork.

Assessment.
The student will describe the parts of the house, the location using
prepositions.
The oral exam will be in pairs and they will perform a dramatization
simulating a store, one will be an employee and the other a customer,
they will carry out the conversation, they will make it known either to
the group or privately.

Week 5
Support will be given to students who have scored low in the
evaluations. They will also be able to count on the support of young
people who had good grades, helping them with topics that were
difficult for their other classmates.
Week 6
It is important to be patient with students who find it difficult to learn
English, therefore, we will take into account the creation of a booklet
that will serve as a guide and support for everyone.

Support booklet
Everyone will contribute grammar activities, vocabulary of the topics
seen, this is how the booklet will be formed.
When it is assembled, the students will find it easier to review and will
be prepared for the final exam.

Week 7
Topics will be distributed, they will work in teams of 3 or 2. They will
go on to present topics such as animals in danger of extinction,
pollution, etc. Students will report the importance of these topics, they
can use sheets, slides, and make representations. This activity will
count towards your final grade.

Week 8
A final exam will be administered, and results will be given days later.
Note :
Suggestions will be given to students to continue studying English, as
long as they are willing to continue since many times it is not very
pleasant to learn this language.

Conclusion.

It is important to know about this foreign language, since it is


increasingly becoming useful in many areas. Unfortunately, it is being
taught poorly in middle and high school, since many teachers are not
prepared to teach this subject correctly, making it boring, tiring and
unpleasant for the student.

That is why it is necessary to base it on the student's interests so that


it facilitates learning and draws the attention of others for learning it,
music, movies, TV series, etc. Since it requires a lot of practice. Let's
remember that it is becoming an important subject like mathematics,
Spanish, and physics and that it is becoming more useful in all areas.
