File - Save as ...

General description
This screen is used to start the total or partial backup of a customer configuration. The data to be saved
has been read previously from the PCX according to the procedure file Backup a customer's configuration
(total or partial) (Stage 2).

Fields description
File

This field is used to name the backup file. There is no need to specify a file extension, it is

automatically assigned by the system.
Content 8 characters maximum

Customer

Description This field is used to specify the name of the customer whose configuration is being saved.
Content 48 characters maximum

Buttons description

This button is used to initiate the data backup.

This button is used to exit the screen without launching the data backup.

Open file

General description
This screen is used to load a customer data file. Next, you must restore this data according to the
procedure file Restore a customer configuration (total or partial)(Stage 4).

Fields description
File

Description This field shows the name of the customer data files that can be restored.

Customer

Description This field displays the name of the customers corresponding to the data files.

Date

Description This field displays the backup date of the customers' data files.

Time

Description This field displays the time the backup of customer data files was made.

File search

Description This field is used to look for a file by its name.

Buttons description

This button is used to initiate the search for a file by its name.

This button is used to initiate the loading of a customer data file.

This button gives access to additional information about the customer whose file was
selected.
This button gives direct access (without opening the database in OMC) to the following
information : System, Dialing, Connect, Customer supplier information.

This button is used to delete the selected file.

This button is used to close the window.

Communication Path

General Description
This window allows you select the communication path used to connect to the PCX

Possible Types of Connections


The following communication paths are offered:
l Local V24
l Modem Direct
l Modem Callback
l LAN/WAN

Compatibility with previous releases (up to 410)

Display language

This window allows you to select the display language for the OMC interface.

In the Welcome to OMC window, click on Language. The Language window appears.
In the drop-down list box, select the display language and click OK.
Procedure
You can select the interface display language directly from the main menu:

n Use of Unicode format: Data can be entered in Chinese ideograms and/or


Cyrillic or Hebrew characters, from the Directory screen, only when Chinese
Non-Latin and/or Hebrew/at least one Cyrillic language have been installed on the PBX.

Russian n Use of ASCII format: Characters are entered in phonetic, latinized Chinese
(Pinyin) and/or Cyrillic languages/Hebrew. In that case, OMC can process data
immediately.

Store Passwords

When this option is enabled, the current OMC passwords (Installer, Admin and Operator levels) are
stored in the customer database when making a backup. They are sent back to the system when
restoring the database.
Note: Subscriber user passwords are always saved.

OMC Privileged User Login

General Description
This window allows you to enter the Privileged User password. This password allows you to access the
Proxy Parameter configuration window.

Fields description
Privileged User Password

Description Enter the Privileged User password.


Authorized characters for the privileged user password are described in: Change Privileged
Values
User Password.

Security Parameters

General Description
This dialog window allows to define security parameters.
This window can be accessed only by the Privileged User (see: OMC Privileged User Login).

Fields description
Automatic compatibility with previous releases (up to 410)

Check this box to allow connection to a previous release (up to4.10)

Server authentication

Check this box for server authentication and certificate management.


This option is validated by default and applies to all connection types,
Description during the entire current OMC session and for all subsequent OMC
sessions.
It is possible to bypass this general option, see: Communication Path.

Proxy Parameters

General Description
This dialog window allows you to define proxy parameters.
This window can be accessed only by the Privileged User (see: OMC Privileged User Login).

Fields description
No Proxy Used

Select this radio button if no proxy is used.


Description In this case, the other fields of this dialog
window are grayed out.

Use Proxy Server

Select this radio button if a proxy is used.


Description In this case, the following fields (IP Address
and Port) must be filled.

Name/IP Address

Enter the name or the IP address of the
