LETTER OF APPOINTMENT

This letter is to confirm your appointment to IJCLP as an Intern, effective from 01-11-2021
for a period of 1 (one) month under following conditions:
1. Notice period - If the intern wants to leave from the journal, then he/she must serve a
notice prior to 5 days of such resignation through a written application to the Founding
Editor-in-Chief or Head of Administration.
2. Copyrights and Ownership – The copyright of all the content created by the intern
shall rest with the journal (IJCLP). The Indian Journal of Corporate Law and Policy shall
have all the ownership rights of the content created by the intern during their term of
internship and the intern is absolutely prohibited from using it any form or manner. In case
the Intern wishes to purchase the ownership rights of the content created, the situation shall
be governed by clause 5 of this Letter of Appointment.
3. Non-Compete - The intern shall not work with any other Organization/Journal either
full time or part-time in a capacity that would create a direct conflict of interest with the
journal.
4. Intellectual Property - The intellectual property of the articles written during the
internship period shall rest with the Journal and the rights of the content created by interns
can only be granted to them if they have selected the option of Internship Certificate + IP
Rights in the internship document.
5. Publication-
a) Publication of a certain content created by the intern during the internship period will
be done solely on the discretion of the administrative team of IJCLP. The team will
only publish those content which they might feel fulfils the standards of the journal
and is approved by the editors before or after the corrections are made by the intern
after evaluation.
b) In case the intern wishes to purchase the IP rights of the content and take the content
thus created during the term with him/her at the time the internship period is over, the
intern can use that content anywhere or get it published at any journal or website.
c) In case the intern does not wish to purchase the IP rights of the content, he/she shall
be absolutely restricted to claim any rights over the content that will be created during
the term of internship. In such a case the journal is free to retain the content for
publication at any time or might never publish it in future. In all the possible cases,
the intern is not allowed to claim any right over the content as per the terms of this
Letter of Appointment.
6. Termination -
a) The Interns will be expected to meet the deadlines and not violate any Journal
policies. The Administrative Team may terminate your internship at any time for
violation of policies or breach of any other document signed in relation to the journal.
b) It is to be noted that at the time of the evaluation process, if the intern is found
submitting completely plagiarized content or content with completely irrelevant
research, he/she shall be subjected to a meeting with the disciplinary committee which
shall consist of the administrative board members as well as the editors.
c) If the intern in the meeting is found to be intentionally defrauding the term, he/she
shall be immediately terminated by the committee as an intern.
d) The terms of termination include the above-mentioned points but are not limited to it.
7. Amendment and Enforcement - Any alterations or amendment to this LOA shall be
duly communicated in writing taking into consideration both the Journal and member views.
