the exchange of your ideas and write in your notebook. Finish? Let us now proceed to
another activity.

want to pursue the teaching profession? In your notebook write you answer to this question
and then, explain the basis of your decision

3. Now let us proceed with the Foundation Principles of Morality.

To apply what you have already learned, perform the task below.

Activity No. 5. (Enrichment Activities). In your notebook answer the following:

5.1 “Do good, avoid evil.” Following this foundational moral principle, list five activities
which you as a future teacher will do in your face to face classes and five evil things you will
avoid doing.

5.2 “Do to others what you would like others to do to you” is the Christian Golden
Rule. Give concrete examples of the application of this rule as you relate to:
5.2.1 students;
5.2.2 co-teachers;
5.2.3 parents; and
5.2.4 superiors.

5.3 Compose a song or a poem on the Foundational Principle of Morality.

Don’t get tired yet, there is still two more learning tasks to do.

Activity No. 6. VALUES FORMATION AND YOU

Please open this link and learn about values formation and you

https://www.slideshare.net/JoanAtienza/teachingprofession-values-formation-and-you

After viewing the slides, answer the following questions in your notebook.
6.1 What are transcendental values? Give example.

6.2 According to (Bilbao et.al, the author of the reference book of this slide share) Values are
both caught and taught. Do you agree? Explain your answer.

6.3 Values have three dimensions, these are: Cognitive which refer to the concepts that are to
be taught and learned by students; Affective-this refer to the feeling of an individual towards a
value and Behavioral, What are the focused of each dimension?

6.4 Value formation is the training of the intellect and the will. Stated the other way: “nothing is
willed unless it is first known.” Hence training of the will is essential, similarly, self-control is
important- - that is, man has to restrain impulses and steadily aims a virtuous life, that is, a
person is able to directly control the will despite temptations and impulses. Give a personal
experience on this statement.

REMINDER. Man has to struggle to live a virtuous life which means he has already cultivated
the right values and have avoided vices. Man should never give way to vices but instead
cultivate worthwhile hobbies . Likewise, you have to start doing good and to be stronger in
resisting evil.

6.5 Max Scheler has provided a hierarchy of values which are:

5.1 Pleasure Values
5.2 Vital Values
5.3 Spiritual Values
5.4 Values of the Holy

Based on the slide share you have just viewed, give specific values for each of the
categories using a graphic organizer

This last activity is the application stage. Do no miss it.

Activity No. 7. Read the following and with reference to value formation, write your action
(notebook) to each as an evidence that you accept continuing personal value formation.

7.1 Take care of your thoughts, they become your actions, take care of your actions, they
become your habit; take care of your habits they become your character, take care of your
character; it becomes your destiny.

7.2 “what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul.”?

7.3 “di baling mahirap, basta’t may dangal.”

Did you enjoy your learning journey today? I hope so. Relax now so you may be
prepared for the next learning sessions.
