What is Leadership?
Leadership is the quality to lead others to
accomplish the set goals of organization
and who occupies the quality, is leader.
Leaders set the tone for the organization
and are responsible for creating a culture
that values quality and continuous
improvement.

a.) Clear-Goal Setting - excellent leaders establish clear, well-defined
objectives for quality improvement.

b.) Communicative - excellent leaders must have the


communication skills to give marching orders in ways that inspire and
motivate rather than discourage the employees.

c.) Aggressive - Excellent leaders must aggressively pursue change,
circumventing or eliminating any institutional barriers that hinder
organizational growth and development.

enough to make changes throughout the entire organization, not

a.) Accepting Accountability - Being accountable means that you


accept responsibility for the outcomes expected of you, both good
and bad.

b.) Taking risks and learning from mistakes - There's no reward


without risk--but even the worst mistakes should never stop you
from taking a chance again.

c.) Welcoming Optimism - Leaders have to have a healthy dose of


optimism to step out on a limb and create their business and
intentionally form a healthy culture.

d.) Exhibiting appreciation - Everyone wants to be valued and


appreciated and recognized for who they are and what they do.
As a leader, you must find ways to recognize and reward people
when they do great work.

a.) Setting Vision and Strategy - Leaders must articulate a clear
vision and strategy for TQM, including the purpose, goals, and
expectations. Leaders need to develop a compelling vision for quality
and communicate it effectively throughout the organization.
b.) Encouraging employee involvement - Leaders must involve
employees in the TQM process and provide opportunities for their active
participation and input. This helps to build ownership, engagement, and
commitment to continuous improvement.

c.) Building a TQM Culture - Leaders must foster a culture of
continuous improvement, customer focus, promotes quality, and
continuous improvement.

d.) Providing resources and support - Leaders must provide the


necessary resources and support to ensure successful implementation
of TQM.

e.) Building a cross-functional team - TQM leadership requires the
collaboration and coordination of multiple functions and departments.
Leaders should facilitate the formation of cross-functional teams,
breaking down silos and promoting information sharing and
collaboration across the organization.

a.) Integrity - Has the best interests of the company at heart, both
financially and morally speaking. Having managers and other leaders in
your business who show integrity and who uphold the standards you
expect, is essential if you want to be seen as an ethical business.

b.) Safety - Develops a psychologically or physically safe workplace for


employees. A great leader or manager in the workplace needs to ensure
that the people they manage feel safe in their work.

c.) Leads by Example - With a positive mindset and good work
ethic, an ethical leader needs to show those whom they lead the
correct and right way to work.

d.) Trustworthy - Trust is a vital ingredient in leadership. Your


ability to inspire and motivate others to want to succeed and be a
part of a successful team will be related to how much they trust
you.

e.) Equality, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI) - Is aware of and promotes
equality, diversity, and inclusion as a leader. It is important that everyone
within a company is given a fair opportunity to progress, thrive, and be
happy in their workplace, and this is increasingly important given that
most workplaces are becoming more diverse.

f.) Transparency - An ethical leader should aim to have an open-door


policy and be equally as accessible to one employee as another.

Is the capacity of the superior to direct his subordinates' behavior
and encourage them to do a certain action.

organization and who occupies the quality, is the leader.

A person with a quality of good leadership can make him/her a good
leader to their management. The qualities that a good leader must possess
are as follows:

INTELLIGENCE
A leader should possess a high degree
of intellect as well as a strong technical
and educational foundation.

EMOTIONAL STABILITY
A leader needs to have emotional stability. He shouldn't ever lose his
temper.

UNDERSTANDING HUMAN BEHAVIOR


A leader should be able to interact with people and have a
thorough grasp of human behavior, emotions, needs, etc.

OTHERS

The leader needs to be aware of other people's perspectives.


If he makes everything on his own, he might lose other
people's support.

It is enough if the leader is self motivated. He should
also know how to motivated his followers

The leader should take initiative because he has to take the lead
to do a work and then only others will follow. The leader should

The leader should be able to judge anything. Then only the
leader can anticipate the response to the actions and

organization's compass setting. It serves as the
foundation of successful leadership. It is the means by
which the organization is going to achieve its vision.

VISION
A vision is an expression of what the
organization wants to become, what it wants
to be, to be known as or to be known for. It is
the long-term objective of the organization.

Values are the principles or beliefs that will
guide the organization in fulfilling its purpose
(achieving its objectives, accomplishing its
mission and realizing its vision). Values are the
things that are important to the organization.

Setting goals helps leaders and aspiring
leaders develop their abilities, promote
progress, and achieve success. Setting goals
helps leaders stay focused, push themselves,
pursue greatness, and perform beyond their
present comfort zones.
