TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACITIVITY

 ENGAGE

- Greetings - Good afternoon Sir!

Good afternoon class! - Dear God,
- Prayer as we start this school day, we ask
for your guidance and blessings. Help
us be kind, learn well, and be good
friends to one another. Bless our
teachers and keep our families safe.
Thank you for this day. In Jesus we
- Jingle Song
pray Amen.

- The student will sing and dance

(Atoms are the basic building blocks
of all matter
They're extremely small and make up
everything in our universe
Stars these bananas our entire body
All made of tiny atoms fit together
differently
Atoms are made up of three particles
called

Electrons protons and neutrons

Electrons are the smallest their
charge is negative spinning really fast
all around the nucleus
The protons positive and located in
the center forming the nucleus with
the neutrons that have no charge at
all

When particles amounts different

A. GUIDE QUESTION Makes various elements
1. Have you see an atom? One protons are electrons
2. Are all things are made of atom? The simplest atom is hydrogen
3. Can you give any examples made
of an atom? Every element has its own atomic
4. Can animals and plants or even number
humans are made of atoms? tells us how many protons located in
5. Can anything exist without an its center
atoms?
Less proton means less mass
like hydrogen, That’s a gas it is less
dense than air
One proton in the nucleus
because protons have a strong
positive charge
push each other away but pulled
back with a strong nuclear balance
TEACHER’S ACTIVITY makes atoms possible
Everything in the universe different
atoms clumped together are known
as molecules.)

- No, atoms are too small to see with

our eyes.
- Yes, all things, including animals,
plants, and humans, are made of
atoms.
- Everything around us, like water, air,
and even our own bodies, is made of
atoms.
- Yes, animals, plants, and humans are
all made of atoms.
- No, nothing can exist without atoms
because atoms make up everything
in the world.

STUDENT’S ACITIVITY
 EXPLORE ACTIVITY (WHAT TO DO )

1. Divide the class into 4 A. PROCEDURE

groups - "Each group is assigned to construct
2. Appoint a leader a model of a specific atom, showing
3. Explain the procedure how atoms are made based on the
4. Distribute the materials given elements. Groups 1, 2, 3, and 4

THE STEP BELOW YOU CAN
CREATE A WONDERFUL MODEL
BASE ON THE ASSIGN GIVEN.
EACH OF MEMBER WILL WORK
TOGETHER AS TEAM. AND THE

OR SCIENTIST USED TO
CALCULATE ALL THE ELEMTS?

________ _____ STEP 1.

PERIODIC TABLE
- IF YOU KNOW THE ANSWER
ABOVE, ALL MEMBER WILL GO
IN FRONT OF YOUR TEACHER
AND SAY THE ANSWER AT LOUD
SO THAT I WILL GIVE THE
MATERIAL YOU NEED IN ORDER
TO DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF
PROTONS, NEUTRONS, AND
ELECTRONS THAT HELIUM HAS.

THE (HELIUM, CARBON,

NITROGEN, AND OXYGEN) THE (HELIUM, CARBON, NITROGEN,

ELECTRONS : ________ NEUTRONS : 2,6,7,8
ORBIT : ________ ELECTRONS : 2,6,7,8
ORBIT : 2,6,7,8,
STEP 2
PLACE ALL THE MATERIALS
-Steel tire ware

STEP 3
"IN THE PROVIDED MATERIALS,
USE THE TIRE WIRE AS YOUR
ORBIT SHELL. TIE UP THE
PLASTIC BALL FILLED WITH
COLORED WATER TO SYMBOLIZE
PROTONS, NEUTRONS, AND
ELECTRONS. MAKE SURE TO
PLACE THE COLORED BALL IN ITS
DESIGNATED ORBIT AND
LOCATION."

NOW THAT YOURE ALL DONE,
ANSWER THE QUESTION AND
THE TABUALTION GIVEN BELOW

1. What things did you use to build your Group-3 NITROGEN Group-4 OXYGEN -
(HELIUM, CARBON, NITROGEN,
AND OXYGEN) model, and what do
the different colored balls stand for?
2. Why was it necessary to put the
colored balls in the right places in your
model, like they were supposed to be? We used wire for the model and colored
balls. The green ball represents protons, the
3. How did you figure out how many red stands for neutrons, and the blue
protons, neutrons, and electrons represents electrons.
(HELIUM, CARBON, NITROGEN,
AND OXYGEN) has, and why was this -We put the colored balls in the right places
information important for your project? to show how the parts of an atom are
arranged, like they are in real atoms.

4. TABULATION: -We found out Helium has 2 protons and 2

TABULATE THE NUMBER OF neutrons by looking at its atomic number
PROTONS, NEUTRONS, and mass. It's important because it helps us
ELECTRONS, AND ORBIT make our model accurate and understand
how atoms work.

 EXPLAIN
- Guide question:
1. What is an atom, and why is - An atom is like a tiny building block
it considered the smallest of everything around us. It’s the
unit of matter? smallest because you can't break it
2. Can you describe the three into smaller pieces and still have the
main parts of an atom?
3. Why do atoms join together same stuff.
to make different - Atoms have three parts: protons,
substances? neutrons, and electrons. Protons are
4. What happens when you positive, neutrons are neutral, and
have more or fewer electrons electrons are negative.
than protons in an atom? - Atoms like to stick together because
5. How does the arrangement of they're social. They join to make all
protons, neutrons, and the things we see, like water, air, and
electrons in an atom toys.
determine its properties? - If you have more electrons, it
becomes negative like a balloon
stuck to your hair. If you have fewer
electrons, it becomes positive like a
magnet.
- The way these parts are arranged
makes each atom special. It decides if
an atom is heavy or light, or if it likes
to stick to other atoms or not.
 ELABORATE - -An atom is like a tiny building block
1. What's an atom, and why is it that makes up everything. It’s
important in science? important because it helps us
2. Name the three parts of an atom understand how everything around
and tell me what they do. us works.
3. Why do atoms like to join - -Atoms have protons, neutrons, and
together and make stuff like electrons. Protons are positive,
water and toys? neutrons are neutral, and electrons
4. What changes in an atom when are negative.
it gains or loses tiny pieces called - -Atoms like being together because
electrons? Why is that they feel stronger and happier. When
important? they join, they create all the things
5. How do scientists use atoms we see and use.
to make cool things like - -When an atom gains or loses
medicines and gadgets? electrons, it becomes charged. This
charge makes it stick to other atoms,
and that's how we get things like
magnets.
- -Scientists use their knowledge of
atoms to mix them in special ways.
This helps them create useful things
like medicines to make us feel better
and gadgets to make life easier.
 EVALUATE
A. Science concept
1. Define an Atom
2.What is the different PROTONS,
NEUTRONS, ELECTRONS, AND
ORBIT?
3. How do they interact with each
other?
4. Connection of atom into matter.
5. Can you say that all you see is made
of atom?
B. Skills
1. What skill you use modelling a atom?
2. As a group what technique did you
use in finishing your task?
3. In what part of discussion did you
understand the most?
C. Values

 Is there anybody in your group

does not cooperate in the task?
 What the status of the project
is?
 What the next steps are?
