mainly consists of three separate elements:-
iii. Safedock Display: It can consist of three kinds of displays: Aircraft Indicator, Azimuth
Indicator and Distance Indicator. Initially, aircraft to be docked is manually entered
through its OP Panel which subsequently appears on its Display after showing ‘WAIT’
message. After the aircraft entered is successfully scanned by its Laser Scanning Unit,
the distance remaining between aircraft nose wheel and Aircraft stopping position is
shown on its Display which actually starts from 20 Meters. Azimuth Guidance is also
provided on Display, which assists Pilot in aligning aircraft with Parking Bay Centre line.
Display shows ‘STOP’ message when Aircraft stopping position is reached.
CAUTION:
Pilot shall not over taxi the stopping position. In case of A-VDGS failure, wait for marshalling service.
When A-VDGS is operative, marshalling service shall be available on request.Aircrafts not included in
A-VDGS should request tower for marshalling service.
