1.Executive Summary
The design proposal summarizes the entire process that is necessary for designing and
developing a new gas fire stove capable of meeting the present requirements of efficiency,
safety, and aesthetic appeal. The project specifically targets the delivery of a qualitative user-
friendly stove integrated with advanced features alongside energy-saving capabilities. The final
design will offer great performance in cooking, modern aesthetics, and integrated safety
mechanisms that position the product as an innovative solution for modern kitchens.
2. Project Objective
The main task of the gas fire stove project will be to develop a product able to:

● Increase energy efficiency in order to cook faster and more frequently;

● Have advanced safety features like automated flame failure protection and gas leakage
detection;
● Be modern with an aesthetic design that fits into contemporary kitchens;
● Compliance with environmental and sustainability standards: less carbon footprint by
efficient consumption of gas;
● Customer experience: intuitive control, ease of cleaning.

The targeted groups for this stove will be the owners of households and who value high-
performance cooking appliances, people lives in remote area (can't get electricity)

3. Design Scope and Deliverables

Scope of Work:

● Research & Development: Understand current market trends and user needs to inform
and support the design work.
● Conceptual Design: Develop design concepts incorporating innovative features that are
user-friendly.
● Prototyping: Produce a working prototype that tests the performance and aesthetic
qualities of the design.
● Final Design: Complete design, including technical specification and manufacturing
plans.

4. Consumer Needs
From the research and survey undertaken, the key want attributes for consumers in a new gas
stove are identified as follows:

● Energy Efficiency: The consumers want stoves that minimize the consumption of gas
without compromising the performance of cooking.
● Safety Features: Flame failure protection, auto-ignition, and detection of gas leakage
will allay consumer fears.
● Cleanability: This had to be a stove that would be easy to clean, with a minimum
amount of seams and smooth surfaces.
● Design Flexibility: It needed to be a stove that would complement modern,
contemporary, traditional, and other kitchen designs.

4.1 Competitive Analysis

In the current market, the leading competitors (Bosch, Samsung, and Whirlpool) are promoting
sleek designs with considerations for durability and safety. However, even their latest models
retain older burner technologies that are less efficient and still lack smart features that can make
cooking easier. Drawing from the insights identified in the research phases, this design brief will
focus on developing an upgraded and user-centered product.

5. Design Features
The key design elements considered for the gas fire stove will be:

5.1 Burner Configuration

● Different Burner Sizes: A number of burner sizes are to be used, like a large 'wok'
burner, a medium-sized 'simmer' burner, and a small one for precision, low-heat
cooking.
● High-Efficiency Burners: The new combustion-efficient technology for burners is to be
used in order to reduce wastage of gas and also to cut down on cooking time.

5.3 Safety Features

● Flame Failure Protection: Automatically stops gas supply if the flame extinguishes to
avoid gas leakage.
● Gas Leak Detection: A sensor will detect any gas leaks and trigger an alert to ensure
user safety.
● Auto-Ignition: Provides convenient, safe, and reliable ignition without the need for a
manual lighter.

5.4 Materials and Durability

● Stainless Steel Body: The stove will feature a durable, easy-to-clean stainless steel
body that resists scratches, heat, and corrosion.
● Glass Ceramic Top: The cooktop shall be of smooth ceramic glass for easy cleaning,
giving it a sleek modern look.

5.5 Aesthetic Design

● Minimalist Aesthetic: It shall contain clean lines, subtle curves, and a modern design
that will suit most kitchen styles.
● Colour Options: It shall be made available in black, silver, and white, amongst others,
for the consumer to choose from depending on his or her kitchen colour scheme.

6.2 Energy Efficiency

The stove shall be equipped with innovative burners that enhance the combustion of gas, letting
more heat reach the cookware, rather than wasting energy. Another feature entails a smart
temperature regulation system that will manage gas usage depending on the cooking task at
hand for long-term energy efficiency.

6.3 Environmental Considerations

The design of the stove shall ensure the following with regard to environmental concerns:
● Eco-Friendly Materials: We shall consider recyclable materials such as stainless steel
and tempered glass.
● Low Emissions: The new burner design will keep combustion cleaner and harmful
emissions to a minimum.
● Energy Efficiency: In the building of this stove, the standards in energy efficiency from
recognized international organizations will be met or exceeded.

7. Timeline and Budget

7.1 Project Timeline

Designing and developing the gas fire stove is expected to take 12 months, broken down by
milestones as shown below:

● weeks1-2: Research and idea development

● weeks3-4: Refine design, prototype, and test product.
● weeks4-5: Testing the final prototypes, gathering feedback from consumers, and further
design adjustment.
● Week 6: Designing the final product, planning manufacturing, and preparing marketing
materials.

7.2 Budget Breakdown
